I've been a fan of country music as long as I can remember (must go back to the early 50's) but I've found the modern country music isn't as enjoyable to me. So I've started searching around for the good ol' music and now have 3 favorite stations. Thanks to Sirius radio I've discovered "Willey Radio" which plays a good variety 24 hours a day. Unfortunatly, I only have the Sirius radio in my vehicle. However, while travelling I came upon a GREAT "Classic Country" station in Calgary, Alberta Canada. This station is also streamed live on the web at "classiccountryam1060.com" and plays a lot of old songs by great singers (Ian Tyson, Earnest Tubb, Hank Snow, Ann Murray, just to name a few).
When I was visiting friends in the Southeast I came upon a great Blue Grass station out of Galax, Virginia. This station is also streamed at "blueridgecountry98.com" and besides the great old Blue Grass bands they feature local bands out of the Blue Ridge Mountains and have a great live show every Friday night.
I don't think you can find music with more genuine feeling that the old blue grass and country songs.
