it's difficult for me to sing

my boyfriend is good at singing ,he has a perfect voice. but I can hardly sing a whole song, so it is a bit embarrassing while our friends invite us to sing a love song together.
have you ever had embarrssing thing like this

I think the best way is to get a karaoke and practice at home at all times. It is a good way if you would practice the vocals sounds that singers use to improve your voice as it needs strength and a special way of breathing - I might be wrong :D
You can attend a class about this or watch some Youtube videos about this to learn more.
