Hello mylotters, was it a smooth ride for you to get along with someone you love or you had a hard time in being with the person you love.
I had to wait for 3 yrs before my love was with me.

Mine took about 2 or three months. Pretty quickly. We have been together for 8 years but nthe romance part is gone. I'm not saying I'm unhappy but I thought that part would last forever too. We have a house together and I don't see us parting ways, but in a sense, it sort of feels like she has broken up with me. We sleep inn the same bed but we don't make love anymore. I've heard the romance part has a life span of 18 months, after that it's up to you to keep it going. Well, if that's true I guess it's hard to complain because ours went on for about 60 months. and I would certainly like to get it going but she's not intrested. But I'm still glad I met her.

You are right, it is a little difficult to live this way. But I can't force her to be in love with me. It would be different if we wern't getting along and fighting all the time, and we needed to talk to try and get along. But I agree with you, it should last forever. I thought for sure, in the beginning it would. Maybe what I need to do is one day say something like "remember when..." or something like that.

We were working together in the same company. He never regards me as more than a colleague, but I have the fonds for him. After some months flirting and guessing that it is going nowhere, I decided to ask him out ice skating, knowing very well that he cant skate and I can! There, he became so puppy like to me. So helpless and I took the advantage of holding his hands to guide him to skate. I guess in unspoken words, our flirting blossomed into something real that day in the skating arena. He is now my beloved husband and we have a boy who just turn two a couple of days ago.
