Hello everyone! I have a problem with my wifi. I get my wifi from the campus like 500 metters from my room. I'm in 5th level and the signal is not stable. I got only 1-2 Mbps for the speed and it is very low.
Anybody has the same problem with me? How to make the WiFi signal stronger?

For about $35 you can get a decent router Netgear is the one I use and it may increase your strenght I get a wifi signal and run it through my puter, then run it to my router and ti doubles the strength, I don't know exactly why this works but it does! tdemex

Are you picking up a wireless signal from a neighbor and wiring the router ot the computer?

Do you have a laptop which has inbuilt wireless modem or a computer which has an external modem. Wifi signals tend to be stable in radius of 300 metres and may start being erratic beyond that point. The simple things you can do is to check if your wireless modems antenna is set upright. One more thing is to see that you do not place any electronic gadgets like mobile phones or a tv near the modem. The signals can actually interfere with the modem and as a result the connection is interrupted. Also, adding external gear might help to boost the wifi signals.

Hello,
You could maybe get one of those Wi-Fi signal boosters for your computer or something like that. They don't cost too much, and it should help you out I think. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!
