No singular weather event or even a colder year represents a change in global warming. Weather is the temperature or precipitation over a couple of days. Climate refers to the average temperature or weather patterns over a decade or more.patterns over a decade or more.period of time, therefore gradual shifts to a warmer climate represents global warming. One event, such as increased snowfall or a heat wave, will not significantly change the climate pattern from the last decade. You have to look at what has happened over time, not in the past month or two, to determine if thereis general trend of warming.

I've noticed that here in Ohio, too. This is the coolest summer I've ever been through. We had one week where it was in the upper 80s and some 90s, and the rest of the summer it's been in the 70s. It's absolutely gorgeous weather, but in the 21 years I've been alive I've never seen anything like it.
The problem with the term "global warming" is that it's not a correct term for what it really going on. Whether a person chooses to believe that humans have caused the changes in the earth or not, the correct term is "global climate change." This means the earth can get either warmer or cooler than normal in certain areas. The media has spread the term "global warming" like wildfire, which really confuses people because they think that unless it's getting hotter, maybe there really is no such thing.

Global warming is still there a burning problem. Recently the G20 nations combinedly took up a decision promising to reduce the emission flow of the gases by some percent. However political leaders all over the world have some other burning problem called "Global Recession" to care for. I`m damn sure they`ll raise this problem as soon as the recession ends.

people just speak about curbing global warming. but what i have seen is that no one is doing any thing for this. people only realise the value of water, electricity, etc. on the day when there is lack of these. The very next day they forget it and use all these on the superfluous rate. I dont think people are even rrying to be good citizens. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF UR HOME --- EARTH.

Unfortunately, nothing has happened to global warming. It is still as big a problem as it has ever been. The polar ice caps are still melting, and we are still having issues with the greenhouse gases and stuff. However, I have noticed that it has seemed to be a bit cooler this summer than previous summers in the last few years. It is not nearly as hot now as it was this time last year, and here in Florida, that is something to be thankful for. The humidity hasn't been as bad here as it normally is either. We have still had some really hot days, and there have been several days that we were sweating pretty bad while working outdoors, but overall, this summer has been mild so far. I am surely not complaining though.

hshshsh!!! a person or a country alone cannot bring global warming!! there should be changes required by each and every one of us!!
one country is effecting other countrys wealth and health and they acts as if they don't know anything!!!

I think it is up to who you ask about it. Some say it is still going on and others say it was not enough research about it. I think the whole global warming thing has become too politcal. It should be more about people becoming greener and trying to preserve and better conserve things we have and possess.
