Do formula milk make the kids smarter?

Yes, the more expensive the formula is, the better -- since the nutrients and the vitamins are much well balanced. But of course, you have to check with your children's pediatrician which formula best fits them. Also, I agree with the previous posts that for kids to be smarter aren't dependent on their formula alone... There are other ways to make sure they grow up smarter, like let them listen to classical music as form of therapy, let them eat balanced meals, let them interact with other children and also let them have pets--which is one of the best teachers on how to be responsible. :)

If this is so, then everyone will turn to formula and stop giving mother's milk. I generally think for a kid to be smarter, there are many factors involve. They will need lots of stimulation for the mind and brain, exposure to the surrounding and new activities and countless more. Formula milk is just the first step, but without the right stimulation and education, it is not easy for a kid to just grow smart. Play is a very important factor in a kids life. If they play right, they'll grow up smart. I've consulted my paed and it seems that most major brands of formula works somewhat the same. Just that certain brands have more speciality such as to make the bowel movement better. Too much DHA wont be useful if it doesnt come with the accompanying SA and others. So dont fret too much about it. Go for major brands to keep your peace of mind. :)

i don't think formular milk is good.SOmebody hve to take it because they can not feed their baby by themselves.If you have ,why take the formularmilk.

Hi, I am no expert on the matter but i do have five children of my own. I would strongly recommend mothers milk for any baby under one year of age, if it is not possible for the mother to nurse her child i think it is advisable to look into the different brands and maybe consult your doctor. If you give your children over 1.5 yrs of age balanced meals there should be no need to add anything else and i really believe that all the hype about formula milk is just a scam for big companies to get richer and for us the consumer to believe we are depriving our children if we don't use their products.

The formula milk which make your kids are tall.I heard about Dumex-DHA etc.I don't remember about the brands but i think the natural milk 100% can't make my kid tall.I believe the brands mixed Calcium or the other nutrients are better than the pure milk.

vingyan06, I won't be able to tell whether formula milk is going to make kids smarter, as I have yet to reach that stage. My baby is currently on exclusive mama's milk in order to built her immune system. However, I understand that there are some stuff which mama's milk don't provide like those DHA, AHA or whatsover additional terms they use in formula milk. I do believe a good choice of formula milk in due course will give a child better brain development. Happy MyLotting
