I guess times have changed i guess ppl dont like using there mouths anymore lol because even my grandma has gotten into the texting frenzy but why?? i mean isn't the main use of a cell Phone for talking?? i send like 400 text a day minimum because i can't bother with other people listening on my conversation if i'm on the road or in public, but i do like to hear people voices also!!
So which do you rather Call or text???
AND WHY????

Texting is okey but it depends on how important your message is. If you need the response or a decision from the other party urgently, I prefer to call. Sometimes in texting you won't get a satisfactory response. So if there's adequate load I would prefer calling. For an ordinary exchange of messages however, I would rely on texting.

Woop! Woop! Way to go, Grandma! She is so high-tech. LOL. :-) Well, as for me, either way is convenient. :-) There are times when calling is a lot cheaper than texting, and there are other times when texting is cheaper than talking. :-) For me, it all depends on where the calls/texts are being made or sent. :-) I know that making calls to the Dominican Republic are WAY expensive, like 17 cents per minute (crazy, ha! ha! I know), so it is better to send a text, but making calls in the United States is a LOT cheaper. :-) So yes, it all depends on where the calls and texts are being sent. :-)

I use to like calling more until I got a phone with QWERTY keyboard and now I rather text than call someone. Texting is the best thing they came up with.

I will call directly. Text is used only when he is not in service zone, or it is too late, or just want to send a notice of safe landing. I use text also for group seasonal greetings.

I prefer to call. But it depends on the situation. When there is a need to get answers to several questions, I prefer to depend on calls. I find it irritating and pointless. See the example below
A to B: Lunch?
B to A: Sure. :)
A to B: What time?
B to A: Anytime's fine.
A to B: 1?
B to A: Ok.. How about 12.30pm?
A to B: Oh. Problem. Client at 12.30pm.
B to A: Then, 1pm.
A to B: Where?
B to A: Hmmm.. any suggestion?
Call. No text, please.

I don't get the whole texting thing...to me it seems like a total waste of time...besides I talk faster than I type. I think it's all just hype and eventually ppl will get tired of it. If ppl want to talk to me they have to either come and see me or call me at home b/c I don't even have a cell phone...I can't stand them things.

If there is something I can get out in a simple text message or something I need many people to read at once then I always use texting. However, if I want to talk about my day or something going on in my life then I will just call. I think they each have their own way of being useful. Most of the time though I will just send a text that way if someone cant come to the phone or talk they can still get the message right away.

yes babykeka you are so right, everyone has their own way of communicating, i mostl text though, calling is just for when i want to hear the other individuals voice.

Hey,
I actually prefer texting, instead of calling. The main reason is because it is a lot quicker, instead of dialing and then talking, you can just text the person in like 30 seconds. Also it wastes so little credit, it is really great! Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

I think it depends on the situation. If I need instant anwer, I will choose to call. But if it's only because I feel lonely and wanna have chit chat with my friends, I will choose to send text message. It's cheaper and you won't face "silent" situation. I mean, have you ever talk to someone in the phone then both you and him run out the idea to talk or there's no something to talk again and so silent situation come? That's it. I don't like that.. If we only call in urgent situation or when we need instant answer, there will be no "silent", because we tal as long as we need and get what we want instantly. If in urgent situation you send text, maybe the people not answer it immediately.. Furthermore, in small chit chat, we can think first what we want to send if we use texting..

testing is much better. If you want to talk to someone that youre not comfortable with.. texting can break those unwanted awkward silences that phone calls bring. also, as someone said before, if youre in a loud place and cannot hear a word then texting comes in. texting has evolved mate, we just need to adapt.
