Have you ever tried to help someone and they really did not want help?

I have a friend who constantly calls me for advice and then when I give it, he tries to argue with me about the advice that I gave him. IMHO, he really doesn't want advice, he's simply looking for someone to support his own opinion.

There are a few times when I tired to help someone out of something or through something and it was totally obvious they just didnt want to be helped. The saying is true 'you cant help someone who doesnt want to help themself' because ulitmately the decision to change a circumstance lies on the person. I have given my precious advice so many times to find no one even cared. Then why do you ask, or walk around like you're having a pity party with yourself only to reject any wise counsel? I cant stand when people do that either. but you are right Jennae people are going to be people and do what they want to do.
