Hello there....I just want to have your opinions regarding working in a call center industry...Do you want to work in a call center and work on the night shifts schedules but then receiving much higher salary???? I am now working in a call center here in Makati, and I would say that it is really a stressful work....I'm so exhausted at the end of my shift. i work from 11pm to 8:30am....

I try to apply before when I visit my brother who work as Supervisor in Convergys Alabang. I myself apply in Apac and been interview and pass it the first time but in the second interview. They say they will going to call me but up to now no call. My brother now resign in his work and now working in Qatar. He told me his work as day shift is better now, not like when he work in call center where his rest day is every Sunday, He work from Monday to Saturday every nigh shift starting from 7pm to 7am. He got home very tired and eat at breakfast and sleep all day. He felt like his body is tired and he could not do his normal activities during the day, misses some special occasion and family gathering. I think working in call center offers a big salary but their a point when you come in a saturation that your health is affected. As my brother told me many women discontinued working when becomes pregnant, many have high blood pressure, and kidney problems. They could not easily go to comfort room as customer is on the phone and such lapses will have an effect to company business profits. That is why their is a strict qualifications to meet the standard. Finally, you should work in call center if you have strong endurance and your body can easily adopted to your regular days like changing day the night and vice versa. It is also strenous on the part of agents, they usually encounter irrate and annoying customers. If you got a warning, you may find yourself fired. But, you could easily transfer as you have already employment records. Finally, working in call center is great for those who are saving money and who could adjust to the working environment.

I have already left call centre. I have been working for more than an years and my schedule was very tight so I left the company. I have worked with a very nice and reputed company but night shift is not good I think. It has ruined my daily life as well. Working in a call centre might seem like an easy job at first glance but it is not an easy job and money is of course too high for young generation but for that one has to work hard. What we should all know about culture in relation to contact centres is that it is often the cause of long-standing issues that have had a negative impact on the company’s reputation for customer service and consequently, its bottom line.

My shift is 8pm-5am. I'm a vampire for almost three years now. I like working at night because my mind is active during nighttime eversince. And I really don't want to have a morning work, rushing in the morning with all the traffic and normal people going to work as well.

I think that's really stressful because sleeping at night is really different from sleeping in the morning. The feeling is really heavy if you don't get to sleep at night. For me, I would consider working in a call center if my working time is in morning.
