If one day,you are alone in your house, your calling bell rings and you see that a stranger has arrived at your doorstep.. Would you open the door for him to see what he/she wants?

Yes but I will look true my window first and I will make sure that the other door is closed and I wont open the door all the way. But in my case they wont go up to the door they would be outisde either junking or yeling since I have a bull dog most of the people do not get that near my front door.

Well with me, I have always done this no matter what if I don't know who the stranger is. I call my mom and I talk to her while answering the door. I figure this way if say something was to happen then she would have heard what happened. But for us we hardly have that problem. Another thing I will do say if this happens late at night I will keep a weapon near by just in case. You can't be to careful. Other then that I look through the window first and say they don't have any papers or such items like that and is not wearing a badge I don't answer. The goes for someone that looks very supious. The only time I answer the door is if say it is someone handing out papers or if it is someone trying to sell something. Other then that I usually only answer the door to my family and friends so that I know that nothing is happening to me. Happy Mylotting

Of course I'm not going to open the door to any strangers. It is so dangerous nowadays because it's hard to predict if they are good or bad people. Just have to pretend that no one is at home or if the strangers happened to see me inside the house, I would shout to them from inside that I'm not interested in anything. Never go near to the gate either cos they might holding some weapons or etc. It's better to be safe than to be sorry later....

yup, of course you should keep alert and make sure they harbor no evil intention. we should not fear they may be bad guys and refuse to answer the door. maybe they are really need help. we all need help, right? how can you expect others to help you when you donot offer help to them?
