Is it true that you can't change the battery when the one it has dies or starts not holding charge for very long?

You can change the battery in an iPod. I've seen it done before. Of course, that was one of the older models that have an actual hard drive in them. I don't know about the mini's or nanos. I'm thinking you probably could, though. --- --- --- "I certainly think Britney Spears is the devil. The way she projects herself and the fact that she is so obviously vacuous. Listening to music, silly!! Unless you get a video iPod. Oooh... *drool* Then you can give it to me and you can have my old iPod. LOL Oh yeah... you can put pictures on it, too. :) --- --- --- "I certainly think Britney Spears is the devil. The way she projects herself and the fact that she is so obviously vacuous. Thnaks for your response..Three of my children are wanting one and I thought it was pretty stupid to buy if the battery wasn't replaceable. I have no reason to buy one for myself either..I like music LOUD..you can't rattle the windows with earbuds! lol

my daughter has one and she says that she has to send in the entire iPod to have the company change the battery. I know she has had problems with hers and she hasn't had it fixed because of the cost of getting it fixed.

yes it is true that you cannot change the battery on an ipod, but you can claim it on warranty. So dont throw it out just yet, i'm not sure but i think my ipod had 1 year warranty .... but it has already been stolen
