Where would you park, near or far?

Where would your park, near or far? The answer of a swedish friend is far from the office if he is early. This way, he can walk to the office, and leave the near parking lot for those late, as they do not have the time for walking. This is from inner desire to exercise, and the joy in slow pace life.

Hi zhuhuifen, here in Greec there is only one answer to that question and it is near. The car is to take you where you want to go and everyone wants to park as near to where they need to go as possible. This explains the awful parking everywhere, the double parking, the car parked in the middle of the street blocking other drivers whilst that driver runs into a shop for something. It is a way of life and accepted. Also they rarely park on car parks which charge, this is a new thing here and not easily tolerated, it is easier and more sensible to a Greek to park atop the pavement outside the car park.

Hi there! I always park near where I have to be. I'm kinda lazy in walking though I know it's a good exercise but in going to the office or wherever I have to be, I don't like to perspire and get tired from walking. Besides, I have my own time for exercising and that is every morning and in evening when I walk my dogs. But your swedish friend is very clever in making use of the opportunity to exercise to have a healthy heart and good one too for being considerate to those people who comes late for the office. Ciao!

zhuhuifen46, When I am working, I would park in the office building as the office is picking up the tab on our monthly parking expenses. Also, parking else where nearby is not only inconvenient but not economical as they can be expensive. Unless, it is on my off days where I will be out shopping and dinning with the family then, it will be parking at the last venue and walk back. This way, we can visit a few malls, departmental stores, supermarkets, end off with a meal and proceed to our vehicle to go home. Besides, I will only need to pay for 1 parking lot and the most economical one as well. And I can bet, with all those lugging and walking - sufficient exercise is not an issue. Also, when I am driving overseas, I will never want to park too far away from my appointments and office as well. This is much for safety reasons than anything. In my opinion, we can always have the time for exercise and whilst we are driving our vehicles we need to be mindful of our surroundings. We need to be logical at all times as these will help us avoid a load of inconveniences and dangers. Have a nice day.

I have phobia in parking lots, so where ever I go, I will park near the entrance of the building. If I don't and was no choice to park far away, I will be really heart throbbing while walking to my car. To me, the nearer the better! Anyway, it's nice for your friend to have the consideration! Happy MyLotting :)

I didn't think of the benefits before. I hate having to park my car a distance away from my office. when I was still working I used to wake up early to beat the traffic jam and reach my office early so I can find a good parking space nearest to my office. That explains why I grow sideways and complaining. Should have parked a distance away so at least I won't see bulges protruding everywhere now.

In my case, i prefer far from my work as i take the chance to take a walk and enjoy my own sweet time looking on things around me. However, when i am at a rush, i park near the place where i need to go and get something.
