Why can't bananas and jackfruits be refrigerated? Then how do you preserve them

I wonder Why can't bananas and jackfruits be refrigerated? Then how do you preserve them?

The jackfruit and the thick bananas could be preserved by boiling them with brown sugar. These can be good desserts for the next several days. You could also add crushed ice and a little milk when you eat them. Sometimes you can even add beans and coconut flesh. Wow, I am getting hungry!

Banana's can be refrigerated or frozen then on a rainy day bake some bread or something. Its just they turn brown faster in the fridge. As for jackfruits ,I am not sure what this is. Sorry
