Am I allowed to upload a pic with my starting discussion?

This problem I asked for many times before.Someone tell me if your post number over 500,then you can do that.But I saw someone has not reach that number with my own eyes,he/she still can upload a pic with his/her discussion.This made me remember once I uploaded a pic successfully as a newcomer in myLot,after several times,I tried to do that again that is never succeed

It shows:When can I add photos?
Only users with a rating over 500 will be allowed to upload photos into comments and responses
How do I upload an image in my discussion?
To upload an image in your discussion, start a new discussion......etc.
So is that means discussion is different with comments and responses,in this uploading pic point,that rules are separated.It means if your posts haven't reached 500,you just can upload pics into comments &responses,but you have the rights to upload a pic in your discussion?
But for many times,I cannot upload a pic in my discussion.Is there anyone know the limitations of photo size,format or number in one day while we are doing an upload thing

I think everyone can submit photos when they start their discussions, you just need 500 posts to be able to submit photos in responses! When you go to start a discussion or reply to a discussion, if you see "add an image" down at the bottom of the screen, then you can post images! If it doesn't say that on your screen, then you can't post images yet. As for the size, I usually upload photos that are around 500 pixels on the longest side (or smaller than that). I know sometimes I've tried to upload a photo and it didn't work, so I tried resizing it to make it smaller and then uploading it and it worked fine. So smaller is always better!

Interesting! Have you always been able to do that? Or were you only able to do that once you reached a certain number of posts?

Oh, so you go around the system? It doesn't automatically say "add an image" on the bottom of your screen? There's a trick to it? Is that even allowed? Or does that go against the MyLot TOS? I'd be worried that "cheats" like that might get me banned from the site!
