I gave positive ratings to people who responded to my discussions as a token of appreciation. See, the positive, negative, and the exclamation point on the right portion of your responses? I click positive sign on the responses that really deserves it. I know people who are posting here really brain storms and I just want to make those people feel that their efforts are appreciated. To all of those mylotters who responded to the discussion that I have post about my near minimum payout, thank you so much! There is a total of 43 responses on that discussion. Thank you a lot! friends, you have made my day really happy! God bless you all! Happy mylotting.

It's good that you rate each and every response that you get! Even I do so, but I do not know if I receive positive ratings for my comment! Is there are any way to know that? Would be pleased if you could help me! :-)

Hi there! There is no way for us to find out how others rate us. Mylot is keeping everyone else privacy, if not this will be a war zone. Would you like people know you rate them negative? LOL!

I usually do this too, unless the person obviously didn't answer my question or gave me a one word answer. Then I usually just don't rate them at all nor respond. It's kind of annoying to get those people who don't care to actually take the time to think about it and respond. It's like they just want to increase their post count.
Anyway, I think that's a very nice/respectable thing for you to do. I definitely appreciate it when people respond to my discussions, too! So I might have to start doing this more often.

I also do rating positive to responses to my discussions, to show appreciation. Which values more, rating or best responses? And I read on site it is against site policy to rate all responses positive, really, and if yes, why?

I don't like to give negatives either, as I feel if they are going to take the time to respond, with a good answer, then they at least deserve to be rated positive. I rate pretty much all discussions, whether they are mine or not. I don't really start all that many, so mostly I rate other discussions and responses. I do think though that the rating system is abused by those that just loe rating negative and mostly because they don't agree with someone. I don't do that, as mylot says we shouldn't and we all have a right to our opinon no matter what, so if they don't agee with me fine, but I won't rate them negative unless they are nasty or they use vulgarity and also post referral links. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
