My mother in law may have cancer.

Last week my mother in law finally convinced her doctor that something is wrong aside from her being diabetic. She has had sotmach pain since January and everytime she sees her doctor he tells her it is her diabetes. She also has been constipated for over a month. Finaly he schedualed her a colonoscopy for last week. Because of her constipation they were unalble to do the procedure. Instead they did a CAT scan and discovered a 25cm mass. She was imeadiatly sent to an obgyn who did a biopsy of the mass. They then sent her to a doctor to give her a pre-op clearance. Yesterday at her pre-op clearance appointment the doctor was amazed that they had not admitted her to the hospital where they could do all of the needed tests and get the results back in less than 2 days. Instead he had to run the tests and it is going to take up to 10 days to get the results. Meanwhile, the doctors think it might be cancer; but instead of admitting her and taking it out they are going to put it off until all the test results are in. By the way, my mother in law is on medicaide. I cannot help but think that if she had a good insurance they would have admitted her last week when they found the mass, and we would no longer be wondering if it is cancer or not. She has another appointment on Monday morning. Has anything like this ever happened to you or someone you know? Does anyone have any advice about getting her the treatment she needs in a more speedy manner? All thoughts and comments welcome. Thank you.

Actually it is my husband's mom, and I do all I can to be a supportive wife and daughter. I am the one taking her to the doctor appointments so that she does not have to face it alone. I just wish they would stop the waiting. And I am afraid that the longer they wait the worse it could get. Thank you.

my friend in a similar situation, there is a chance she has a cancer and she's been weighting for almost 2 month now to get the test done. there are a few things that can help your mother in law with tereatments. One of these things is raw vegetables and fruits. actually there is a whole treatment related to eating more raw foods. If she can't eat a lot of fruits and veggies, she might want to try fresh juice. just not caned of bottled as that one has heated and it destroys a lot of nutrients that can help her fight cancer. another thing is mushroom extract, for colon cancer the one that showed good results is Coriolus versicolor, get only the supplement that has at least 20% beta glucan in it, it should be listed in supplement facts. if % is not listed, don't get it, it's not as effective bacaue it wasn't extracted the right way. there are other mushrooms that are used to treat cancer, but they are more effective for other types of cancer. best of luck, i hope she will get better and hope it's not cancer...
