Two Suns

Have you read in the bible that some day in the future, in the "end of days", that it would appear as if there were two suns? and also that the sun would scorch men and men would long for death? have you ever wondered how this could be possible?
Here is my best evidence that something like this could happen. It is called a gamma ray burst. This is caused when a star collapses in on itself, when it goes off it gives off the energy of a hundred million million stars. In one second it releases more energy than out sun has released in the whole existence of our solar system. Even if this happens a hundred light years away we could see it happen but would happen without warning as the gamma burst travels at the speed of light. We would simply look up and we would see a second sun. The burst would strip away our Ozone layer, leaving us vulnerable to our suns radiation. Plants would die, famine would insue. Water would evaporate become toxic. All life would end within days. Even if you were buried in a mountain, the radiation would penetrate miles into the earths crust.

Not sure what passage you are referring to but I think it might be this one: Isaiah 30:26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.
If it is I don't take this to have a literal meaning but more of a metaphor, to me the light of the moon and sun represents the old and new testament and light represents the understanding of it. Of course this can be taken many different ways but I think that it represents a church or religious faction yet to come that will be able to give the understanding and heal those who have been hurt by modern or sometimes un-modern religious establishments. One in my opinion that will undo a lot of the damage that has occurred since the first church went off the scene and became organized religion nearly 1700 years ago.

Well I don't see how anyone could take that scripture literal, if the moon was as bright as the sun and the sun 7 times more so we would be baked to a crisp, and how would anyone's wounds be healed? To me its definitely a metaphor but I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

It could happen literally though, as the moons "Glow" is but a reflection of the suns light. If something happened to the Sun as in the scenario I gave, the wave would feed the sun. It would be like dropping 100 pounds of Gas on a camp fire. A sudden flair, an increase in magnitude, the moon would also reflect more sunlight. SO it is possible that this could happen. Their is a book out I read, I was trying to find it. It is by a PHD astrophysicist, who has written about super waves that get exploded out of the galaxies black hole, but in this book he also talks about the dark riff area the same area that is the center of the galaxy that we will be passing through in 2012, he said scientist found back in 04 that from this area huge "jet streams" of hydrogen are being expelled, and said "IF" our sun was to pass though this it would be equivalent to putting a supercharger on your car engine.

I am happy to see that you can at least say their are metaphors in the bible. So many try to make every sentence literal.

Well ..... Bible isn't good to be taken literally. It contains so many descriptions where not even Jewish Kaballah succeeds to interpret properly. Aren't we meant to do good deeds rather than to study to many words?

Oh I know about the multiple layers of meanings of the Bible. Ancient Middle eastern religion and language is my passion. But I also did not say which bible
Kabbalah! Wow I have not met many people here on myLot that have any idea what kabbalah is. Are you a student? I studied under Michael Laitman, wonderfull man.
I like to sometime mix ancient religious texts seeing that they all drive from the same place.

I fully subscribe to your last sentence: there is only one source where all of this wisdom comes from. When I stumbled over Kabbalah for the first time, I understood that it was a forgotten art. But some months ago I met on internet kind of a modern variant also including Laitman's name and I tried to learn and to understand. But finally I gave up since it is obviously a highly sophisticated building of thoughts and philosopies which would track me more to study abstract teachings than to practicing Jesus' message of love.
Basically I rely on about 12.000 pages of dictations given, as I understood, by Jesus himself to an Austrian musician, Jakob Lorber (1800-1864) in my German language. In these texts the Lord has mentioned Kabbalah to show what you name the "multiple layers" of Bible. He made a point of not to study to much but to follow the basic "rule 666": to spend all my unconditional love on myself with 6 units, on my family/neighbours/friends/enemies/nature with 60 units and on my God (be it Jesus, Allah or whichever name) with 600 units. Some enthusiasts are translating this New Revelation given to Jakob Lorber and, as I have seen, from www.franky1.com the main texts are available for free download.

Well ... what looks obviously as a non-sense might contain a hidden sense. I needed 40 years of living between qualifying some Bible contents (e.g. virgin birth, creation of world and of Adam and Eve, biblic miracles) as a fairy tale and finally seeing the hidden roots in it (e. g. how to live in peace with my neigbours, how to prepare my soul for eternity, how to survive after economic damage and disappointment by loved ones etc). It is so easy to believe, that God's messages to mankind stopped several thousand years ago; and it is hard to put in practice a reminder of the Lord dated some 150 years ago. He hasn't left us alone, we just need to listen.

Nice to see you posting again, and the son would say to the son that the sun is a blazing object and the collapse of another could appear as two that sounds quite interesting.
So many things could happen...

There is a healing power in the sun, and too much sun will burn you so said the father to the son and the son to the son about the sun...

DANG You are stealing my thunder! turning the two suns into the TWO SONS! as in the parable of the two sons. VERY GOOD! Am I getting that predictable? And then the SUN of righteousness shall rise with healing in his wings.
