Advantages to having Internet Problems...

Jesus Loves You Balloon - This is the hot air balloon I picked to 'chase' this past Sunday. Heart, rainbow, and dove on one side and "Jesus Loves You" in big letters on the other side.

I spend more time writing:) 2 short stories: “Autumn Colors” and “Friday Night at K-Mart” 2 content articles “How to Chase Balloons” and “How to Improve Your Call Center Experience” 3 slideshows “Mixed Garden Flowers”, “Chasing Balloons”, and “Hot Air Balloon Night Glow” Also started a 3rd short story – “Sunday Morning” Ok, I also did dishes and cleaned kitchen which I haven’t done all week (and didn’t do very well last weekend – busy chasing hot air balloons)… So, what do you do when/if your internet connection is having problems?

Hi: Funny you should bring that subject up. I had that problem last night. We've been having a lot of rain and a few thunder boomers around here for the last few days. I think that must have something to do with our connection. Anyway, I must say I made myself a cup of tea and watched home-garden TV. I could really get addicted to all those reno shows.

Hey I'm watching HGTV right now - love Sunday mornings lots of garden and yard shows, vicariously getting 'outside'. We too have had rain and storms the last few days, today though sun shining beautifully if I get everything done I need to here may make a trip to local park and get some pictures.

Love sunsets, sunrises, flowers, nature, animals, and hot air balloons, water, just whatever hits me. Did get some nice flower garden pictures today. I've been doing a lot of slideshows on associated content and will be uploading more here this week.

When my Internet connection mysteriously evaporates into thin air, cyber air that is, I usually take out my laptop and continue my writings on it. This still allows my creative juices to continue and I don't have to look at the dirty dishes in my sink, or think about how scruffy the floors have been looking lately. The problem I have encountered with this is that, living in the country I have yet to get a wireless connection (I heard those "tsk tsks"!) I end up with some of my best articles on my laptop and don't always feel like transferring them to the desktop computer. I just never seem to get around to it.

I've gone to all I have is my laptop but do have cable internet - when it works, still having problems with it today. I miss living in the country though would set with laptop outside and write while enjoying nature until laptop battery ran out or would just run long extention cord :) Way too often I avoid house work as best I can - wait till out of dishes to eat on before washing deal :( But welcome to myLot, hope you enjoy it as much as I have for the last 3 years, great group of people here :)

If there is one thing I learned about living out in the country, it is that one can never have too many extention cords! Why do you think they put electric outlets on the sides of a mobile home? (Yes, I live in a double-wide in the middle of an eight-acre cow pasture, how's that for country living?!) Thank you for the welcome, and I hope to have a many long years with this website!

I just wish I could get 48 hours in a 24 hour day - not enough time to do all I want to do :) Was going to take some 'time off' and go to a local park to take some pictures this afternoon but internet problems slowed me way down getting slideshows and stories published then it started raining :( it was beautiful this morning.

I love doing graphics although since getting my digital camera I seem to spend more time resizing and adjusting pictures to share with others - have a bunch ready right now to upload on myLot :)

That's good you accomplished something while not being able to use your computer. When I have computer problems, I do work on crafts. Also have a back up computer which is old but works that I get out and use while this computer is being repaired. Oh and I cuss alot too..lol

No, I don't work at K-Mart, that's interesting that you provide products for them, I've never known anyone that did that. Not sure why that's a 'problem'. I haven't published story yet but hoping to shortly. Right now I'm publishing on Associated Content, there's a link to my articles and stories there on my profile.

i get to play more games than an hour, but get bored easily..then, able to assist Mom on what ever she do. go around and walk every where, but those won't last long because i would still be longing for mylot. i haven't really done anything that made me busy if there's a problem in the internet.

From time to time we have had Internet connection problems as well. Now that I have had Comcast again it is less problems here, but usually if I am having Internet problems this is when I either watch more movies, Write more like you have been doing, or play other Computer games as well. I am Glad to see that you have been able to post here now, and wishing you the best as well.

Oh thank you dear for the well wishes I really need and appreciate them. Am still having internet problems, and I have comcast, but when I tried calling them sat on hold for 20 minutes and was using my phone time up they did have a recording said they were having problems in areas east and west of me so maybe they will get it worked out this week.

I generally do housework because I neglect it being on-line. I wasn't having problems yesterday but I did tackle a couple of chores and now I'm in the middle of the beginning of an early spring clean. I have the loungeroom turned upside down, curtains down for cleaning and repair in my room, my freezer is defrosted and the drawers are all over the kitchen waiting to be cleaned. I'm also in the middle of laundry.

LOL there are indeed some good points for not having the internet for a bit :) You really used your time well, I wonder if I had probably just lazy around for the duration hehe I had no internet for a bit over a week a few months back. I actually did a few other things and in the end didn't really miss it as much as I thought I would, with a few exceptions.

I got a big taste of no internet for 6 months when I moved, it was major withdrawel for me :( Now I'm starting to find my niche, what I want to do or enjoy doing and it frustrates me when I can't get online to do it. Is good for me though as I am an internet junkie and need to be forced off-line from time to time.

When there is no internet connection, I can finish my job just in time. I can create another discussion to be posted on mylot. I read e-books that are saved on my USB. and of course I can sleep because I don't have to take care of Mylot discussions.

Sleep? What is that? I know I don't get near enough sleep need to just take a day and do nothing but sleep but don't see that happening in the near future :(

I might do some gardening, or cross-stitch, or read a book, or just take a nap. I'm versatile that way.

I do so miss gardening during my 'off-line' times, actually when I had a big garden I was there daily when possible and internet 'stuff' got left until whenever :( wasn't on myLot much at all :(

And soon after I responded, a huge thunderstorm moved in and I had to turn off my computer. It's quiet right now, so am back on for a while, but I just heard another rumble. I felt like a kid at the cottage when it rains... can't go out, can't call friends (internet)...

Knock on wood but in the two and a half years I've had my own computer haven't had internet problems (I have verizon DSL). My you have been productive...bet you feel real great about that. Usually on days (or nights) that I find MyLot slow or just plain not in the mood to be stuck in from of the computer I give up and catch up on my cleaning--which reminds me...I could stand to do some laundry soon...LOL

LOL can't do laundry tonight, son is doing his, will catch that tomorrow :) I have comcast and am very dissatisfied with them right now. With work and all I have limited time during the week to 'wait' and am not happy with having to spend hours trying to get online only to read one or two emails and get kicked off again. Was like the icing on the cake for an already frustrating week... Topper on the cake went down thursday evening though - won't go into to that though.

I hate having internet problems. I usually just read or clean or watch TV. My boyfriend really hates having internet problems and he is always getting upset when we have trouble. I really like the provider we have now because we have very few problems now. It stays on almost all the time.

Internet - connection problems, are very very annoying but I've been having this problem for a week now and have spent hours and hours trying to get 'back online', have even called my provider 2 times now. Still not working - I'm on for a few minutes and get kicked off... Today I decided I was NOT going to waste my day letting this distract me from what I needed to be doing and should have been working on all week.

Hei.., You have great idea on this!. A useful time, i think. Me, I close my laptop and go some where else to break. But, This is not long and get normal in less than an hour. Some time i go to coffee shop with my friend and found interesting there. We are neighbor and member of myLot communities too..(We have same internet provider, so we have same problem at the same time...) we talk offline.
