Are you afraid of death

I think I am afraid of death. Everday I pray to god that let me live to the time my son grows up and can manage of his own or let me live life to the fullest , then I can die. But I know theses are mere excuses. Actually its our greed for life that makes us afraid of death. We do not want to leave our near and dear ones and go away. No one actually knows what is their after death. Maybe that is another reason to be afraid of it. What do you people think?
