Do you really believe in alien invasion?

Lot of films were shot on alien invasion where aliens try to conquer the earth with an intent of eliminating the human race. Films like Independence day, The war of the worlds is a perfect example for this... But do you really believe in alien existence? Any proof that aliens invaded earth at some point of time in the past. Any information, or good discussion on this would be appreciated, as I am really interested to know more about this.

I think I do believe it. I haven't seen one but if the movie makers where able to create a horrible looking aliens it means they have beena able to see it from somewhere. For me you can just visualize things that you havent seen, so for them to share us their idea of how it looks it means the have seen it or gotten the idea from someone who have seen it already.I just hope they are not here to invade us.

I think there might be alien life out there but there is nothing to suggest that they are more advanced than us. For all we know they're still in the cave man stage running around in loin cloths with spears.
I'm not really sure why everyone assumes they're evil too. Just because they're not from earth doesn't mean they're bent on taking over the universe. I'd like to think that if there are aliens out there that they wouldn't be that different than us.
