Do you believe that your religion (or lack thereof) is the only truth? Why?

Do you feel that your religion is the only one that could be true, or do you leave the possibility open that there are other truths out there?
I'm a Buddhist, and mostly I just don't care. I just want people to find spiritual satisfaction and mental peace.

I have had many disagreements over the years about this
I dont think that there is only one true path
I feel that ALL paths lead to the same destination
there is no real truth but yet all religions contain truth

I don't believe any one religion is completely right. No one will ever know what the truth is until we die, so how can anybody claim to know while they're still alive?
I think every religion has some truths, and some lies.

I think it is personal to each of us. I do believe in God and while he gives us guidelines to live by, he also gives us free will to chose what we do with our lives. I chose faith over religion.

I do believe that no one comes to God except through Jesus. Therefore, I believe Christianity is the only complete truth. There might be truthful things in other religions, but they're not completely true.

I think that if you truly believe in your religion, youre naturally going to want to spread what you believe in hopes that other people will be able to share in the truth.

Okay, I suppose I can understand that. There's one thing I'm not clear on though. You say you want to spread the truth. By the truth, are you referring to your own religion specifically?
I just wonder, because as I mentioned and I'm a Buddhist, and they way I understand things, there really isn't "the truth" so much as there is "ones own truth." Is this what you're talking about?
Thanks,

Well I dont want to spread the truth, Im not even sure what I believe. I could care less what people choose to believe, just aslong as they dont tell me that im wrong in whatever I believe, once I decide what that is....

I believe mine is the truth for me, as for others what a man thinks as unclean than to him its unclean. I cant judge whats in someone heart only that man knows what is right and wrong to him.

I used to go to church and all that for about seven years. I became very unhappy. These days I have formed my own belief system. Everyone has a belief system whether they are conscious of it or not.
I will think what I think. I challenge my own beliefs and search for truth and happiness. Religion can be a snare for your mind. Some people follow rules religiously and this prevents them from doing the right thing when it involves breaking one of their precious rules. This phenomenon is known as "mind formed manacles"(a term coined by william blake). "Emancipate your selves from mental slavery, you know we've got to free our minds"-- Bob Marley.
We are all on a journey, or are we? It is important to live in the present.
Love your "enemies" and don't be conned into fighting against flesh.

Since there can be only one God,
therefore there can be only one way of life.
We believe that since the beginning there is only one way of life,
it took its final shape just over 1400 years ago,
it was different in the beginning comparing to what it is today
because the way of life to God suits the believe and social responsibility of the people of that particular time.
Search scriptures that said it came from God, then test it. It must have no discrepancies. Only then you will believe.

Not really a religion, but I believe in Jesus Christ. The reason is because I have investigated the Bible, and find it to be accurate, both from a historical stand point, and from prophetic stand point.
Unlike other belief systems which seem to be based on unverifiable events that only the sole person involved can attest to, the claims in the Bible were witnessed by dozens, even hundreds of people, and those that were against the Bible couldn't disprove it, nor ever have.
Therefore, based on it's historical accuracy, it's credible witnesses, and the prophecies that have come true, I believe it.
