Do you think the dollar should be replaced with a new universal currency?

With the current vulnerabilities of the U.S. with their enormous debt around the world, I think its time to replace with a new global currency. The chance of default by the U.S. to pay their debt is great, with their large negative deficit, iraq and afghan wars. It would be unfair to other nations to stay with the dollar currency against the american citizens.
