Houses are in great demand in our country and you get this with the option to get a loan from PAG-IBIG on inhouse financing with different designs, row house, townhouse, single detached, duplex, etc.. anyone got any of this houses? What do you prefer a ready for occupancy or those with pre selling stage

I was able to buy a lot in a subdivision here in my area... but it is so far from where my in-laws live... that is why my husband and i did not pursue to build a house since we are both working and no one will be available to take care of our daughter if we live in that area... so right now... we are renting a small apartment which is very near my in-laws' home... I would love to have a house of my own... and i don't want the ready for occupancy because i want my own personal touch on the design of the house...

If you talk to a broker you often hear this nice words "why rent if you can own, we have a rent to own scheme" probably they are right it also saves time and money

Unfrunately here in the Philippines I found that getting your own decent house you would need a lot of money else you have to resort to renting your house which I think majority are doing especially those in the metropolis you cannot just get one right now. Although those that are selling in the provinces are far more cheaper but if your work is in Manila it still is disadvantageous for you to buy there.

House and lot in the city of course have higher appraisals, I remember sometime in 2006 at Cebu we inquired a townhouse and it was 2M selling price, we inquired again this year as there are still available units and it is now close to 4M selling price.

Hello! My cousin had already applied in the Pagibig with single detached house, unfortunately she had to sell it because of financial shortage, and then I assumed what she had started. And at present I am the one who have the right in that house. It's really very important that we should have our own shelter especially when you have your own family to protect with.

Exactly, a place for shelter is one of the basic needs. If your cousin got that house long time ago probably she increased the price

If I got so much money I prefer to have pre selling stage or lot only . So that I can have my own design and I'm sure we can have lower expenses than applying for financing or mortgage loan. But what I have today is a mortgage one because I really need a house ready to ocuppy for we just living in a house and lot not sure to have it. Meaning a private property that just putted by house of somebody long time ago. I'm afraid time will come that it will be get by the real owner. That's why I decided to have a housing loan .

Designing their own house is what everyone wants but unfortunately those prices are too high for the majority of an average Filipino worker.
