Will you agree with that ? I remember during my childhood time whenever teacher passing out homework and demand it to be handed the next morning, I felt really really abuse, bored and scary. My teacher will ask us to stand under the sun for the whole day if her assignment has not completed. Now, as a working mother, I too again struck with homework. For any job tasking has not accomplish during daytime, I must ensure the work to be completed when all human in the world are sleeping. Homework will never be changed after decade but the feeling sustain, Scary... What about you?

I completely agree! Homework is a nightmare. I remember specifically during high school when i would come home and all i would do was homework. I would only stop to eat and shower and i would stay up really late trying to finish the assignment. I was basically a machine. I did do some good work but i was not really enjoying it. I think that homework should be changed so that kids don't have to spend as much of there own time working on it. That way they can develop other skills that they are more interested in and help then to have a more positive adult life.

Hello there! I agree with you about the homework issue. I am student and I hate homeworks! I usually never do them! The next day I just accept whatever punishment that the teacher tells me to do until the punishment is really serious! Once I hadn't done my homework and my English teacher demanded to see my parents the next day. I was so scared and I begged for her forgiveness. Yet she did not nudge in her decision. So the next day, I just came to school and during English period, I just acted casual, as if nothing had happened the other day. When she asked me about meeting my parents, I just told that I forgot all about it! And then she excused me and told me to bring them tomorrow. But I did the same thing the next day. And then I carried on with this alibi and she forgot all about the incident!

Here in China, we always suffer the heavy study pressure. When I was little, I would have many homework to do everyday. Even when we had the holidays, the homework could be even more. Of course I don't agree to it. As you don't have many time to do something else, such as the sports and your hobbies like music, reading etc. It seems this situation just becomes worse and worse today. My child is five years old and studies in the kindergarten now, and he even has homework. I doubt whether this will be difficult for him. I still think that children should play more at this age. I love China

When i was a child, ther was a teacher, who gaved me a lot of homework ( just for me, i don't know why), I hated him. I was very lasy, so it was a nightmare to do my homework.

During my childhood time, I also think homework to be a nightmare. Because it take a lot of time. I cannt play with my little friends. But now, i don't think so. I think proper homework is necessary for children. Too much homework will eliminate their interests.

On one hand homework is an essential part of learning. however, too much or too difficult defeats the purpose. The purpose is to give a small amount to the student for them to work on it independently. It checks for their true comprehension. However, if he can subtract 10 problems correctly, he can also subtract 100.. no reason to do so many when only a few serve the purpose!

Hello TREASURE9899 this is checkmail and often in my childhoos going to school, me too thought that the Home-work is the worst nightmare in my life.Actually i use to play a lot after schools so hadn't given so much time for home work after school. But before getting to school i had to finish my whole Home-work in the morning in less time.Otherwise there was punishments , fines, even complaning to my parents. So completing my home work had remained a night mare during my school days.

Well.... it really depends on the subject and the hardiness of the homework... well, if it needs going to the library and search only there, well, it could be a nightmare... but if its just simple and can be done easily by searching in the internet, then its a piece of cake.... in our country... Philippines... we have this subject Filipino, that is in our national language... it is quite difficult because you cant easily find answers in the internet... only in the libraries that you can see the answers... so i can say that it only depends..... Mathematics is the very easy homework for me...

as far as I am concerned, homework is just a very common thing I need to finish everyday like drinking, eating, washing or sth like that.I don't think it is a nightmare.I'm a university student.my major is electronic information s&t.although it is difficult to learn, but I do like it.so I don't feel tired even I study all day.maybe you don't like your job, just treat it as a burden.I believe if you change your attitude toward you job, things will be changed. I hope that you will be energetic and passionate to finish your job tasking in time.

I am a 16 year old kid, this may shock and awe you all but i have homework i hate the idea of homework and the entire concept. Its horrible i get the idea that you need to practice the concept, THAT IS WHAT CLASS IS FOR if your having trouble stay after class but in the 6 hours of freetime i have after school and sports to get a decent sleep every night i would like to have some me time or maybe get a part-time job. With homework and projects this is impossible and teachers always wonder why kids are so grumpy and sleep in class, because you and my other teachers are making me stay up until one so i get a horrible 5 hourse of sleep before i have to get up eat breakfast and shower and get ready to go backkkkk to school again. Thats my long rant about homework just thought id get my 2 cents in on this :) thanks.

I dislike the concept of homework a lot. As most working adults know it's not desireble to bring work to home so why should the children have to do it? I especially dislike the pointless tasks. I remember when I was 8 years old our homework was to walk 3 miles and draw a map of where we went. It's not the distance that bothers me, nor the fact that it was about -30C outside. Its the lack of learning from a school related task which takes hours out of the precious spare time to do.
