I never heard about this, but if it's true then I think we should think twice to eat in Jollibee more so with their gravy. But I don't think they will do that after all the reputation of Jollibee is until now very pristine. I just wish it is not true, because it will hurt the popularity and it will incur ugly connotation not just in gravy but also the other food the Jollibee is selling.

Thanks for the concern...Well,this has not yet been proven if it's really true. But it's just only hearsays roaming around muslim community in the Philippines. If our Leaders heard something that is not acceptable in muslim rites and practices then we are all informed about it such that gravy with pork..That is why I posted it here to know if ever, who knows there might be someone out there working in Jollibee and knows the fact. This is not actually destruction of image to jollibee but I am just curious about their gravy as what we are hearing about it.

I don't know what jollibee is, and I actually have an issue with eating organs, because I think it's gross, but I am sure you can find a recipe that does not require any pork products, or substitute chicken parts for the pork parts instead.
Can you tell me what jollibee is? Maybe we can find something on the web that offers a pork free version for you?

Thanks for the reply, Jollibee is a food chain and their specialty is fried chicken with gravy..It is like mCdo, KFC, and etc..Jollibee can be found mostly in asian countries and now they have branches in United States.Jollibee as far as I am concerned is the top selling food chain all over the Philippines. And of course, as a Muslim, I have to make if what we are eating especially my innocent family as well as my co muslims are "halal" or pork free.

hello sahira...hmmm i don't think so...coz i don't taste liver from their gravy...i can say that it don't taste like a liver to me coz...i already tasted a sauce made from pork liver...we use that as a sauce in lechon!
when it comes to gravy i think it is just made of flour, margarine maybe milk...like that only..not really sure but i think the best thing to do is ask them...i think there's nothing wrong in asking to them...after all its our right as consumer to know what they are using in our food...

Really? I thought gravy is made if mushroom sauce and crumbs. Perhaps, the best thing to do is we ask Jollibee franchise holders what they use to make gravy. I suggest that your organization write a formal letter to the outlet in your place. I was thinking that we sue gravy powder mix when we make gravy sauce. I used to work at a French bakeshop, I remember we used gravy mix powder and mushroom sauce to make gravy

oops there's an error there. The word use was misspelled as 'sue'. It should be 'use gravy powder mix. thanks

I don't know if Jollibee's gravy have a pork liver ingredient but I like their gravy. yum yum yum. I have former coworker who worked in Jollibee before. He told me that when they cook the gravy, it was like a powder that they will mixed in hot water. It was ready to cook gravy powder so he still don't know what are the ingredients of it. I think it looks like powder mix that we put in our soup.
