A man is accused of child molestation and arrested. Two days later he is out on bail. One of his son's wants him to fight the alligations in court and has set up an appointment with an attorney, the other son tells him that if he is found guilty he should kill himself rather than go to prison. The next day a body is found on a rural road with a gunshot wound to the face and it is treated as a simple suicide by the police. A year later the son who wanted him to fight the allegations gets a card in his father's handwriting from a southern state and his father had lived up north. He finds all his Dad's tools, clothes, chain saws, hunting gear, etc are missing from his Mom's house along with a book about faking your own death, assuming a new identity and disaapearing into thin air. The remaining family has banded together and will have nothing to do with the son who wanted his father to fight the alligations. So is the father alive under a new identity or is he dead and the family is playing sick mind games with the eldest son?
