I do hope that we can address the issue of healthcare in the United States. It is a sad state of affairs, when in the wealthiest country on earth, over 40 million people go without health coverage. People that are sick and considered to have a pre-existing condition, cannot get coverage. The philosophy of allowing the marketplace to care of itself, was proven invalid by the current economic crisis. An unregulated marketplace will destroy itself through it's own greed. The cost of healthcare in the U.S. is rising 6 times faster than people's income. Where is this leading? The issue needs to be addressed now.
