Have you thought about getting a car that can't hear what is going on outside the car? They are advertised with a gorgeous waterfall beside it and you can't hear a thing. Well, doesn't this mean that you wouldn't be able to hear a siren or emergency vehicle? I would think that that wouldn't be a good thing!
We were sitting at a light one day, on our motorcycle, waiting to see where an emergency vehicle was coming from and a car (about 2 back) was laying on the horn!
If you think that just because the light has turned, that we are going to go, forget it!! I will wait to see what way that fire truck was going before I pull out! I hate it when people don't wait to see what is going on! How do you feel about this?

No I do not think that this would be a good thing either! You do need to be fully aware of what is going on around you when driving - isn't that the way to stay safe?? I think noise reduction is a clever thing but not to the extreme length of not even being able to hear an emergency vehicle. And actually if there was a big waterfall behind me, I would quite like to hear it!

Simple. Design one car which can adjust whether to be sound proof or not-sound proof with a switch. So the driver can goes so freely adjusting it. By then, this is going to be so COOL.

I have always thought this is a bad idea..what if u couldnt hear the sirens..or a wreck that happened close to you..u wouldnt hear it therefore bad things would come.. and soem ppl will say u can hear sirens..hell most ppl dont hear them in reg cars..windows down and music blaring..now to have a sound proof and music blaring? yeaaa maddd accidents..its a dumb idea in my opinion.

I think that it's a very nice idea that there are sound proof cars. I personally would not like a sound proof car. I think that it has many dangerous aspects. People could be calling towards you or you might not be able to hear a siren (of a firetruck behind you) There might also be cars or trucks that might be dangerously close to you and you wouldn't be able to tell because you couldn't hear the horn.

I think that this development can lead to increased incidents of traffic and highway accidents.Hope the people realise its disadvantage and act accordingly.

I wouldn't like the idea too. It can definitely contribute to a hazardous factor and that is a real cause of concern. Also, there can be cars honking and we do not realize that there is a potential warning from them and etc..

I agree! That does sound dangerous! Sirens are very loud, so even if the car is "soundproof" you still might be able to hear a siren coming. However, I think for safety reasons you should be able to hear other things outside your car besides sirens! For example, if you're crossing train tracks it is extremely important to be able to hear a train coming!

It is nice to not be able to hear noices outside the car especialy when driving a long distance but it is not safe. You are right there is no way people that have this cars will be able to hear the sirens and that will be dangerous. They cna either be upset with people that stop like in your case or they wont have anyone infront of them and might even get in the way of the ambulens or police car or fire truck and can cause an accident. So it those have good and a bad part I just hope that we can be more carefull when we are on the road so we wont cause an accident or get into a unesesari argument with some one for not being able to hear the sirens.

lol. it sounds cool and dangerous at the same time. I don't think it will be good if you cant hear any sound outside the car, unless your eyes are always looking around to see if there is a need to break. But i guess no one likes to do that? Anyway, it's the first time i heard a sound proof car lol
