I always keep the sound muted on my computer and I only turn it on when I specifically want to hear something. This being the case I never hear what anyone has on their profile page.

Actually I kind of find it fun to go to profile pages and hear what kind of music people are into...sometimes I get a lot of surprises as I view one of my friends a certain way, but then the music is completely different from what I expected them to like...I actually have a real hodge podge of music on my playlist...from rock, movie soundtracks, to ballet, to a bit of opera--bet I really confuse people with my tastes...LOL

Lol, I know how you feel. I don't like profiles that have music playing either because they take so damn long to load! I don't see the point either as like you said, it should really be more of a private thing shouldn't it?

hi i have put music player in my profile just to let people know of my interest, it plays automatically when you visit my profile, well i understand that sometimes that music can be irritating when viewing the profile but it so happens that they just play automatically each time, i can't let it just stay paused at the very beginning itself and so it is with all the music players, otherwise i would have just let others let the music play when they want to, but unfortunately i can't do that, and i don't think there is something one can do about it other than just remove the player

I totally agree to this, unfortauntely it is added on myspace profile my somebody else and the sound is so annoying, most of times, whenever I visit my profile, the music just starts playing. One of my friends has done that and I am desperate to get it removed.

I have music in my profile but those are soft and relaxing. I'm sure you'll like them. They are sweet and sentimental which kills the silence of the still night. I listen to them while I do mylot. They draw out the juices from my brain.

Some people put music in their profile because they want music in their profile. Its their profile and i think they wanted to pimp their profile with music. Its really their decrestion how they want their profile to look like and its not for us to rant about it. Its their decision. You cant please everybody, seriously.

Hi fwidman, guess everyone has a favourite song and they like to keep it somewhere so maybe that's why they do it especially if they go on their profile a lot, we do have to compromise with people and can't really moan about it..LoLo

I've seen that a few times too, I guess if they want to put it on there they can. I don't really mind it if its a good song and some mylot pages of people from other countries has some pretty different music. Go hunting around and see if you find some really weird music.

i have to agree with this. It is kinda annoying to visit a mylot site and suddenly a background music starts to play and interrupt my music. In friendster it is quite annoying yet entertaining already and what more to say mylot when you are browsing through the pages and suddenly weird noises start to play.

hi there, yes, it is irritating that a song plays every time we visit a profile. but may be some think its a better way to express themselves. Good day.

I know exactly what you mean, I understand that mylot is in a way, a "social" site, but it is not supposed to be like Myspace or Facebook, but with the music,bullying, and trolls, it is looking like people are taking it to that sort of thing. Plus, I have no idea how they do it anyways, and it might make pages slower for people with bad internet connections.

Wow. I do not know, I believe they do because they can do it. I am sure there is a way to prevent that, but what it is I have no clue, I have not been able to post anything besides photos and a saying on my profile.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I am with you all the way on that. Profiles pages on all sites. It makes my computer lag, freeze, hang up. And another thing I hate them on voice mail greetings too. Those be so long I just hang up and don't even leave a message. You got my vote for this one.

You're right ,that background music can be really annoying.

I love music, and i love sharing my musics to others.. :D But that is because i am mixing a lot with virtual dj, and i want to know what other people think about it.

I did not realize you could put music on a mylot profile. I may add some images but I do not think I will add any music on my profile.
