I usually search for discussions on "todays top" section, "started by your friends" and "my interests" section. Its easier that the recent ones in this section appear on the home page. But I don't think my technique is adequeate as I never really get wat I need.. I always end up finding topics that in no way I'm interested or ready to answer. What technique do you use in surfing through the discussions?

I Too usualy searches for discussions on todays top or started my friends then my interests etc. Mylot provides an easy interface to deal with such discussions. So that we don't have to spend a whole lot of time searching for different topics. I look forward to my interests and i reply if i am well equiped to answer. Happy mylotting

At first I always check the discussions I started and the ones I already responded to, because I want to see if there any questions or comments for me etc. After that I usually look at the discussions started by my friends. I respond the ones I am interested in and the ones where I now something about the topic. I also like to look at the discussions from my interests. I have chosen many, many interests, so I usually find some discussions that I want to respond to. Sometimes I also look at the top discussions, the discussions with no responses and the discussions started by new users.

I always go through discussions my friends have started first as that is what this website is about really - otherwise there is no point in having myLot 'friends'. It is also good to try and have friends on here that share similar interests to yours as you will be more likely to want to respond. It might also be a good idea to go through the interests you have selected so that you can regularly check for new discussion topics that are on things which you find interesting. I usually only go to today's top discussions if I can't find anything I want to respond to - there is always something interesting my friends are discussing, and if not, then I can always find a discussion from my interests section which I can join in with.
