My dog does sleep with me, but he is sometimes a pain because he will curl up next to my boyfriend who is always afraid he is going to bite him. I think that there are worse things though. I like to let him sleep with me because he has been doing it since he was a puppy and I think he really likes the pet, human contact.

I don't mind depending on where the cats park themselves. Our one cat likes to sleep around my knees or the back of my legs if I"m on my back wich if I'm tired enough I could care less othertimes it bugs me til I"m asleep. And I"m lucky as the big cat who's 17lbs likes to occasionally sleep on Hubby or my daughters chest. Hubby hates it & can you imagine a 17 lb cat on a 40lb girl? EEK! That worries me so a coax him away from her.

I wouldn't mind having my pet sleeping beside me.although with our new cat, she's a bit annoying.she loves attention, and if she wants it she will meow and meow till I wake up.I don't let her sleep in my bed.sometimes,I just let her meow and all of a sudden she will quiet down.turns out she's already asleep.I guess she got tired of meowing when she can't get my attention.

I love my animals, always have done, part of the family, but I do draw a line at letting them sleep with me or even sit on my bed, that is a big NO NO! They have their own beds most of the time, that is how spoilt and loved they are but never in my bed. Besides I toss and turn too much so I'd either push them off the bed in the night or I'd get scratched because I'd be moving my toes or I'd end up laying on the poor creature! Personally I think it's unhygienic, but that's just my personal opinion.

If one of my cats wants to curl up in bed and sleep with me, i have no problem with it, but usually they are more content to hop on the bed when i first get in, get some love and attention, then go off and play or sleep somewhere else. Sometimes though they can get so demanding of attention and anoying that i have to put them out of my room as i cannot sleep.
I haven't had a dog in a while, but i know when i was a child our cocker spaniel, Joe, used to always sleep in my bed, and i loved him to, except for the fact that he snored! *lol*

I'm fine with my cat sleeping on the bed, although sometimes she accidently gets kicked off sine she usually sleeps at the end. However if she wants attention she might come half way up the bed and purr. She doesn't take up that much room and she doesn't soil the bed so she's fine. I doubt however I'd let a dog larger than a coton de tulear up on the bed with me... but if I did have a dog larger than that and the little dogs I wouldn't let any of them since I'd feel it was being unfair. Sometimes when I was 16 and my mother was raising himalayan/persian cats I'd fall asleep on the recliner and have one cat on the back of the chair, one on my chest or stomach, one on the recliners footstool and sometimes even more cats. I'd wake up and be covered in fur or with the cats still on me. I loved it... except when I had to get up xD
