Basically I am looking for a site that I can play games on for free but mainly card and slot machine games and you don't have to download anything to play them. I am wondering if it's a tall order, I tend to get into trouble with idle hands of late and I need something to amuse myself without wasting money. I do like online slots and I am finding I am spending too much money on them, sure they are entertainment but it's not much fun when you lose! I get fed up with Spigo and Playandwin which seem to be very slow on my computer, probably because of the browser I use or the fact that I use a Mac Do you play computer games that are free to wind away the hours and can you recommend a site that I can use that will keep me occupied and my wallet closed (obviously NO referral links please!)

pogo.com is awesome, and if you decide to become a member there it's affordable. As Oreo mentioned Winster.com is really cool you win prizes like movie tickets and some other stuff, but it can lag at times. Another good one is Slingo.com Also has options to win prizes and is free. All 3 are fun sites and worth it to check out.

Thank you, found I have already had an account at Pogo and yes membership is very reasonable, so I might contemplate signing up for a month, you get 2 weeks free on top to test it out. I had trouble signing up to Winster, I wonder if I eligible not being a US citizen.

Hmm good question. I don't know about whether you have to be in the US but I will check it out BRB.

Ok here is what it says in the FAQ's # Can I play if I don't live in the United States? Yes, you can play if you live outside the United States, but unfortunately, many prizes can only be delivered within the United States. This is because many of our prize suppliers are able to ship prizes only to United States addresses. If you reside outside the United States but would like to join Club Winster anyway, may we suggest that you find (or make) a friend who lives in the United States, and give the prizes to them? When you sign up and are asked for an address, use theirs! http://www.winster.com/faq.html I hope this helps, and good luck.

I'm afraid I'm addicted to FarmTown on Facebook at the moment. When I first joined Facebook, I started my farm because friends had asked me to join, but I didn't do anything about it for ages and wasn't remotely interested. Recently I had another look in an idle moment, and got totally hooked. I WISH I could stop - my farm now has everything I want on it, and if you keep going you risk making it cluttered and tacky - but something compels me to keep going and reach that next level. I wouldn't play anything I had to pay for, though!

I do realize that my gambling is a way of escape a way of blocking things out, I have too much time on my hands I guess, so I've made a decision to book some college courses to keep me occupied and certainly get me out of the house more!

I've signed up to a pyschology course which starts in October, an art class for beginners and hopefully if I can get a place I want to do my GCSE English, I have maths but not English. There is also a meditation course which might be good for me to help me relax and create a bit more happiness in my life x

Doing courses is a great idea, Wolfie. As well as being useful, you'll also be meeting new people and making connections. Keeping occupied is an excellent way of getting us away from things we tend to overindulge in, and I hope you are able to find a course which really takes your fancy and interests you. You never know where it will lead!

Pogo seems to be the best site for me and the Pogoclub is only a small price to upgrade each month, I certainly spend more than that on the real thing, but I will bear Winster in mind, but it's more US based, whereas Pogo is at least UK friendly. But thanks!

I enjoy playing games... although I keep busy while online by engaging in play-by-post roleplays like Dream of Tomorrow... or Sims3. However I find that pogo and facebook have some nice games that might be similar to slots. At least they're places to keep busy without having to spend real money. If you're really lucky at pogo and I never am there is the chance you can win real money from the game without spending a dime... but its a chance in well however other many other people are members of the place.
