Mariah or Regine?

Hmmm...The comparison between them is really in distant...While Mariah have accomplised everything a singer could have dreamt of having...Regine Velasquez had only conquered Asia...& she has already had a successors...yeah 'Successors', It could be Charrise who is more than popular throughout the Globe & Sarah Geronimo...the Top singer in the Philippines right now. Mariah Carey will go down in Music History as the Greatest Female Vocalist/Singer of All Time... She had the Most number of #1 singles for a female artist in Billboard history & Top charts around the Globe...& during her Prime...she really has a vocal prowess that is still unmatched up to this day... I'd still prefer the innocent looking Mariah of yesterdays than her sexy image of today.

I don't think Mariah has such a great voice, Nina can do that whistling thing too- and as i've heard,Mariah doesn't have a nice character.. but Regine is great, you guys should check out her live performances, not only is she a versatile singer, she is also a good actress with a good heart...

Hi, kelvin_markphilip86. I don't know whom Regine is. All I know is Mariah herself. I would like to find out more about Regine. Is she a singer like Mariah? Does she sing R&B jams?

What a comparison, well they both have a different beautiful voice. But if you will ask who is better, I bet both are better. They should not be compared, even other artist. The fact that they are famous, means people love their songs. And people love their songs because they are indeed a good and not only better but best singers. No comparison needed. Or maybe you can compare Mariah Carey and Mariel Rodriguez, there is a comparison there.

Both Mariah and Regine are great singers. I'll say Mariah Carey is the Queen of Pop of the West and that Regine is the Asia Queen of Pop. But if you were to compare them, then I'll say its without any doubts that Mariah wins hands down. Mariah Carey is well-known at International level and whereas Regine is better known only in Asia, but in terms of vocal wise, they both come close with Mariah winning by a close margin I'll say.

I don't think I've heard of Regine... so by default I'd have to go with Mariah. I enjoy listening to her voice, although I don't like all of her songs, but I find it nice music to listen to.

I'm a filipino but I don't like Regine at all. It started in 2000 ( i think) when she came up with her album entitled r2k. There was a music video where she copied mariah's top in Heartbreaker..and the butterfly too. I like Regine whge she was still new in the industry, when never had not tried to copy other artist especially Mariah. I love Mariah's voice and music. Because she never tried to copy another singer.

I would still choose Regine. I don't like Mariah's character though I must agrre that she got a great voice.
