For me,he has to have a good sense of humor. He Must love music and movies and be understanding. If he isn't into hockey,he at least has to respect my passion for it.What do you look for in a partner?

Number one for me would also be a good sense of humor..and a good attitude. I have met so many guys with crappy attitudes. I would also like him to be flexible in what I like to do.....which has to do with doing craft sales etc....so if I have one then he can join me or at least be supportive. I also would like him to have his own interests so that we can spend some time away from each other doing what we both love to do.

Having respect for each other's hobbies Is key.I don't expect to like Everything he does but if we can support each other ,it will work out.Time apart makes being together better. You don't smother each other.

I want a girl that I can tell anything and they won't judge me cause of it. A girl who loves sports and music. A girl that won't be to attached to me I do like my own space. A girl who loves to have fun, and would do anything with me no matter what.

Hi Sarah! I think I would also like to have a partner who has great sense of humour, because I myself love humour and fun. It won't matter much to me, if she is less interested in music, but if I am listening and enjoying music, she should not interrupt me. I am a caring person, therefore I would expect my partner to be caring. Respect is very important in getting along. I would definitely like that my partner should 'respect me and myself'. I am sure on my part that I would continue to give her respect because I know 'respect begets respect'. Finally, a 'partner' who could adjust with me with my all positive and negative traits and I could also adjust with her all positive and negative points.

As you can tell from my avatar, music Is very important.I love all types so the genre wouldn't be a problem. But if a meet a guy who doesn't like any type of music,it would have to end.Adjusting to your moods and adjusting to theirs is very important. I hope you find your partner.

I agree with you that your partner should respect your liking for music. Adjustment is key to success in a relationship. dpk PL. check your PM.

I look for something that can constantly make me smile and can constantly surprise me or have that wow factor. I don't like dating someone that just makes up this routine and then its the same old same old day after day. Also I need a guy that is financially secure and knows where he is going in life because I don't want to be that girl that needs to support her boyfriend/husband. I am really big into being self-sufficient. They need a life plan and I need to see they are committed to their future. And then they have to accept the fact I'm atheist and I absolutely hate religion because I think its the end of the world for us and the reason for all of our problems so if they can accept me and not try to convert me we're good. And I have to be able to get along with their family and their family needs to respect me for who I am and not have any grudges because love doesn't hold together through everything, family is the biggest thing that can break it apart. And the same goes for my family liking them. And lastly I need someone who doesn't mind me not wanting to have kids. So overall I have a huge list - but I think that we all need to be a bit selective at first because I don't want a divorce 7 years down the road because I said oh well to one of requirements.

It isn't a huge list.Every point is very important. You made me remember that I didn't add that the perfect partner for me will respect the fact that I am Jewish and I will not convert, ever. And that I never want kids.I agree if you overlook a key trait you need, the relationship wont last.

Before even thinking of romance, and romantic love, I was interested in the kind of partner that I could support, and who would support me, the kind of partner who would be my best friend, and who's best friend I could be. I'm happy to say that my husband and I found all those things in eachother.

Love, affection ,care, understanding, presence of mind, sense of humor, appreciating little things, play mate,advisor,etc..I expected a lot like this from my partner.I am having my wife now but she has some of the qualities mentioned and some are badly missing.Yet I have to admit her and take her as my better half.Life will be interesting with all the good and bad things we have in our partner. We have the rights to imagine but we have to accept the reality.Cheers!

If you find a man/woman that does not cheat, hit, abuse (physically or mentally) then you have the perfect someone. That someone that when he/she tells you they love you it can be seen in their eyes. If you find someone like that they will possess most or all of those qualities you are looking for in a mate. Trust me I have been with both kinds of men and the latter will be the best pick of the crop.If you find someone that does not do all those hurtful things then they will have your passion for things and you will theirs.
