Hello,
I have seen lots of discussions on people playing for recreation and so on.
However I play seriously and was wondering what levels of competition others play or aim to play at??
I have just signed a contract to play for a team in Sweden (I live in the UK) so I am incredibly excited by the chance to ply my trade abroad.
Hopefully others can tell us about their level of play and best achievements.:)
Thanks

Congratulations! How wonderful that you have a chance to play your game abroad.I love to play this game when I was still a small boy.I also paly seriously to get to higher level but I have never dream of being a professional player. My best achiement was entering the semifinal of an inner game of our university.

Hello, thanks for your reply.
I too dream of becoming a professional player however it is very unlikely. The overall standard varies from country to country however so my Latvian friend said I would be top 15 men in her country. In England I am aiming for top 100 and that is a challenge on it's own.
Wish I was Latvian now:P

Wow! That is awesome! I have never played any sport that seriously. I have begun running and have completed 2 races to date. I wouldn't even hope for a contract to do anything professionally... congrats!!!

Thank you and congratulations on the running, I would love to run a race but I don't have the time to train for them.
It's not quite a professional contract but it is the closest I will come to getting one I think. I may get the chance to get paid a small amount if I move higher up the rankings but at the moment my deal is very good :D
