Jealousy is it a way of showing love?

It's interesting. I have a friend told me he likes me very much, but he talks about other girls with me sometimes so I never take his words seriously. I talked about a guy friend whom I like very much with him last week and he got really upset. I was stunned at first, I was like "hey, you talk about other girls all the time!." However, ever since then did I realize he does like me. It's weird that I don't believe he liked me until he showed his jealousy. Anyways, does any girl here have the same experience?

Jealousy can have something to do with love. Jealousy can also manifest because a person wants to save face. Such as when someone doesn't really want to be with another person, but they don't want to see that other person with anyone else. Most of all, I think jealousy stems from people wanting it all, and wanting no one to have more than them. People wanting to be the best. If you don't trust someone, I don't think that has to do with jealousy. It either has to do with your insecurities or the fact that the person just can't be trusted. There's never much room for jealousy. All it does is drive the jealous person crazy, and drives the people around them away.

The only jealous people I have known are people who are prepared to cheat. Its like not trusting someone in your home, because you yourself are tempted in other peoples homes to steal something. I am never jealous and always trust, I have been very fortunate in that I have not been cheated on nor have I been stolen from. The level of jealousy a person shows represents the level to which they are prepared to cheat themselves. Oops, sorry, very controvertial, but I believe it to be true.
