Do you use a cellphone to talk, or the other features?

As cellphones revolutionize every year, companies keep adding more and more features you couldn't expect to have on a cellphone! What I find amazing nowadays is that ordinary people would go out and buy a smart phone, that usually only business people would purchase to use! This is probably because phones of every kind are free falling into prices so cheap, you can even get a majority of phones for free! Lot of cell phone companies offer phones for so cheap because they hook you into their Cellphone plans, which cost from $30-$100 a month for those features.
The phone I have is a Sony Ericsson, which is a W760 or something like that, which advertised came with a MP3, camera, internet 3G, etc. Today, I only use it to actually call people, as I don't want to pay an extra $30 for those feature I will barely use. I got the phone cheap at $75, and my monthly plan is only $20.
So what kind of person are you, going all out and buying the phone of your dreams and spending over $50 per month for it, or a moderate and conservative user like me who actually use what it was invented for, calling other people?

I used to do the same like you.
After having my new phone, the Iphone, I started to change.
It has so many awesome applications, I can stop myself from using it.
I can even use facebook, mylotting, recording, photoshop, and etc.
I am so pleased about my cellphone and its own features.

It depends on what type of phone you have. I have a blackberry and I love to surf the net and I enjoy sending txt messages. To be honest with you, I barely talk on the phone. So if i had to buy a plan with a certain amount of minutes, a package that includes 300-500 minutes would be fine with me. But in my situation, I live on an island where the majority of the people use prepaid cellphones, and the difference about the prepaid cellphones here compare to the ones I have experienced in FL is that we only get charged for calling another person. We do not get charged for someone else calling us. And the rates are pretty cheap; around $0.10 per minute :D and the texting is even cheaper; around $0.07 per minute ;-)

I use a cell phone to talk not for the features, I used to keep an eye on those fancy cellphone when I was a teenager becaus eI thought that was cool to have a cool looking fancy features phone but not anymore, I have got one when I was in high school and I gradually found the fancy features thing was not a big deal, it is just for making calls and receiving calls. And now I dont' even have a cellphone, I only use home phone to do calls.

I really only use my phone for a phone! I actually have a camera and even a video camera on the phone but I totally forget to use it. I guess some of that is because I don't have any way to get them off the phone if I did take them!

I mainly use my phone to text message. Although, on the odd occasion I'll use it to call my mom or something of the sort. I have a few songs that I put into it, but don't really find the need to listen to them very often because I already have an Ipod.

i used to have a sony ericsson too! except i wasn't too happy with it because all i could do was call. now i have the iphone 3GS which absolutely amazing and i usually play games or listen to music on it rather than using the phone. i probably will use it once school starts but at the moment applications are what i spend my time on with my phone. i'm the sort of person who needs the newest gadget so i will use every feature there is and i wouldn't mind spending a lot of money on it too because it really is worth it. :)

I pretty much only use my cell phone just to talk. Once in a while I get a text message, but that's about it outside of the clock/alarm feature. I figure I really don't need all those extra bells and whistles because I'd probably never use them...so why pay extra just to have features that I'll never use anyways.

I also have a Sony Ericsson. It has a camera, which I have used occasionally. I found it useful when I was shopping, and saw something that I thought my daughter might be interested in - so it was handy to be able to send her a picture to see if she wanted me to get it for her. I've never used the radio (except to try it out) and I know you can use it to access e-mails, but I'm never far from home anyway so have no need of that. The signal is so poor where I live that I can rarely receive calls, but text messages usually get through. I really only need a cellphone for the basics, and wish they would make a range of simple, straightforward and easy to use phones for people who only want to use phones as phones!

I have lots of features on my cell phone, but right now I only use it to talk on. It does have internet explorer on it, but in order for me to get the internet I would have to pay $30 every month to have it, so I decided against it. I figured I didn't need it, but if I get a new phone, I will definitely get the internet so that if I am gone and can't be onmy computer, then I can use mylot on my cell phone. Right now, I have an ipod touch that I can get mylot on, bt I don't use it all that much either. I play games on it more than I am on the internet. I do have a music player on my cell phone, and once in awhile I will listen to the music on my phone. I have close to 200 on my phone and only 3 on my ipod touch. Have a great day, and happy mylotting.

I have a tracfone with only voice and texting. I don't use it unless I leave the house which is very seldom. I don't think these new phones for internet and music and email are needed. My opinion. I pay only $100 a year for 1200 minutes.

I'm not huge on talking on my cell phone actually. I'm a bigger fan of texting, honestly. It's just so much easier than calling people is & I can do it on a unlimited basis. Plus you can multitask easier when your texting than when your calling someone. Calling people is just nothing but a hassle!

I talk and text, and sometimes use the internet. But besides those three, I have no use for excess features like those useless iPhone applications. Things like cameras, video and voice are pretty much standard on new phones, so I don't consider those excess features, but I still use them from time to time. In general though, I am not a phone addict at all.

Well,I owned three cell phones at this moment, but unfortunatelly two of them didn't work. To my surprise, the good one is now far behind the fashion,so I just consider whether I should buy a new fashion one. But I wonder hoe long the new one could keep fashion for. That really confuses me now---
