I tend to sleep in class most of the time. maybe because i am using internet till late night.but to sleep in class the lecturer must be boring too. And i think its the main reason to sleep.
so do you sleep in class too. why do you think you sleep in class?

im so sleepy and i cant do anything about, me and my seatmate are so exhausted due to our projects and we havent slept the other night, our eyes are so heavy and we fell asleep, we sit in front and later we woke up, and all of them are watching us and laughing, i think my teacher was mad also... it insults them when they see their students asleep while they are teaching.

it certainly isn't respecting teacher by sleeping in their class. but you can tell the teacher that your not feeling well and lie down for a while.

I try not to sleep in class. Sometimes when i'm really tired i tilt my head to look like i'm just looking the other way. At that point i just shut my eyes because i cannot keep them open any longer. But i feel like i would be caught if i went ahead and just fell asleep. I think that i'm tired in class because i do not get enough sleep the night before. This is bad because sleep is a very important part to having a good day and without it you do not function as well and want to sleep instead of doing work.

lol that seem fun.
we actually throw paper balls to other student and fool around in class.
but when teachers are strict, you can't do all those things and you have to listen to their boring, monotonous leture. And to that point...its really starts to get sleepy. Most of the students in our class will be sleeping in that case.

I always sleep in the class when I was in high school, almost everyday, and it will be weird if that day I don;t sleep at the class at all. I sit in front of the class and even the teacher is in front of me, teaching, I will sleep too, I don;t know why. Then my riend gave me a nickname, "boss" because they say I'll be the first to sleep in the class and later on, everyone will follow. But when I was in college, I don't sleep at the class at all, no matter how boring the class is. I guess in high school I'm not really interested with the lesson learn, but while I was in univerity, I really like the subjects that I took. Well, that's me.

I occasionlly sleep in the class just like you because I went to bed so late last night. But I think,as a student,we should not sleep in the class. We should give our teacher the basic respect. Most of the time when I feel tired or the lecture is broing,I prefer to play cellphone rather than sleep in class.

Well, I don't know about others, but I do sleep in class. Yes if the lecturer is not engaging I tend to doze off.And late night movies don't help either. I try to take down notes so that I will stay engaged. Also I try to take small naps(5-10 min) in between lectures and have a hot coffee or tea in the break This can juice you up.And if you still do, then better sleep through it.

hm.. taking coffee in break might help but if the class is boring nothing can help...either sleep or do something else like playing game in cell phone, chattin..lol

hm...i would rather be present and sleep in class then being absent. even if i am sleeping in class i would at least know what they are teaching about. But if i am absent...i am totally unaware.

When I was at school, when there are the boring lessons, I tended to fall asleep in the calss easy... if I don't liek the subject, it was just hard to focus and pay attention... but It hink from what I remember, I didnt get caught very much, maybe the teacher said loudly and walked by me but I didn't get yelled at anything like that.
I usually fell asleep when I slept late the previous night playing on the internet. Otherwise, I went to bed pretty early to avoid falling asleep in the class.

I have slept in class one time, that was last year. I was up all night on the net and neglected that I have a 7am class upto 5pm. In my first subject I was still ok, still alive and kicking. But when I reached the 4th subject, I fell a sleep. Good thing that I was seating at the back. While my professor was discussing, my eyes started to close. And when the time I woke up, they were checking their papers because they just had quiz.I was really thakful to my seat mate, because she covered up for me, saying that I am sick. And ofcourse needed some rest.

I have never actually fallen asleep in class. I get sleepy all the time, but I don't actually fall asleep. I some times doze off, and my head drops and I get startled to pay attention again. Some of my professors have called out students for sleeping, so at times it can be bad in certain classes. But either way, it probably isn't a good feeling for a professors to see students asleep in their classes.
