How Do You Promote Your Referral Links?

Well, in the world of PTC, PTR, PTP, and what not, the key is to get people in your referrals. I have seen so many people with over 100`s of referrals and i always wonder, how can I promote my links too. I try to copy what people do, such as posting it in my signatures in the forums I join, but usually no one even clicks on signatures, as everyone uses them and it is in everyone's daily routine to ignore it. One of my other ways was post a link in my profile, hoping it will get some people to sign up. I know this is near impossible because, most of the sites that pay people already have joined if they know anything about paid to click site, and if they have never heard it, they will have a bad impression it`s a scam and that I won`t get paid. I somewhat agree because at first, I was nervous when joining my first PTC, Neobux, but now I learned so much and they are not so bad, if you do research and don`t join ones that are relatively new and have a bad reputation. So far, I have only gotten 1 or 2 referrals links for all of my sites I joined( 1-2 in totla, not for each site) , but 1 or 2 is better than none. What are some ways you promote your referral links and that are effective?
