here in the philippines, almost 50% of the people has friendster accounts including those newly born babies.. their moms chose to create an account for them for a lot of reasons.. one of these reasons is to upload pictures and photos of their babies and share them with friends, relatives and colleagues who are located somewhere who has an access in the internet..
i am also one those people who signed up for this kind of community site.. one time, ive noticed that this so called"facebook" which also work as a community site like friendster became known and lots of people are actually using it..
now, i just want to ask , in your country, which is more popular? FRIENDSTER or FACEBOOK?

When I was in university, in my place, friendster is much more popular, but I just discovered recently that facebook has become much more popular than friendster and my friend even told me it much more fun. Well, as for me, I think I prefer facebook more than friendster, but as I'm not so much into any social internet media, so I just used both randomly.

Facebook definitely. I have never even heard of Friendster. Facebook, Myspace, and Myyearbook are the biggest ones here.

Hi! What country are you from? It is crazy to me that newborn babies have a social networking site online, even if created by their parents. I live in the US and Facebook is far more popular than any other social networking site. I have never heard of Freindster and don't know anyone that has it. Facebook is a great website to share pictures with people you know and keep in touch with people you wouldn't normally call on the phone or anything like that. I got a Facebook in High school and continue to use it just as much as when I first signed up. More and more adults have started getting Facebooks and frequently put pictures of their children on their profiles as well.
