I have a Dell laptop and recently I have found my docking station not working correctly. In essence it was the fact the the USB ports on the docking station did not work at all.
I looked for a solution and spoke with IT Engineers about it but they had not heard much abotu it. I found a solution and would like to post it here so that everyone knows how to fix this if this is an issue they are seeing themselves.
1. Turn off your computer and undock it from the docking station.
2. Pull the power cord from the docking station and hold the 2 buttons down for 30 seconds.
3. continue to hold the bottons down then plug the power back in and let go of the buttons once the power is back.
4. plug the laptop back in and turn it on.
Its amazing how something so simple can fix something that can cause so much frastration!
If anyone needs any help on this please post your comments so i can reply.
Thanks!

Hey,
Thanks for posting your tips, I was actually going to look for a laptop docking station, but I honestly thought that I was going to also run into problems. Thanks to you, it gives me more encouragement to buy one. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!
