when does a person know the defining moment of this isn't going to work in relationship to I want to take this to the next level? Not necessarily the time frame but the feelings that make you know this IS it or this is NOT it!

It's not you who knows, it's not you who decides as well. It's the both of you. It's the moment when you get to talk about things and both simply decide that the search for someone else ends for a while and you'd want to get to know each other deeper and try to see if it's forever. There's no right formula for love, but it isn't also a game of who's more in love or who loses more. It's about finding your match by trial-and-error. Yes, there are relationships that fail, but it doesn't mean it's the end of everything. Just make sure that you don't give your 100% to someone who isn't willing to share themselves with you as well. This is why I'm not in favor of going all-out through lust, because giving yourself that way, just shows you're too easy. You can just take the plunge without really knowing if he's true or not.
