Hi Kiki! I have two Nokia cell phones, however both support only single SIM card. I've heard about dual SIM card phones, however, I have not yet tried the same. One of my friend's brother has a dual SIM card phone and he tells me that his brother just enjoys using two SIM cards at a time. I also suppose that my friend's brother has a Chinese make phone, rather than a reputed brand phone. Are you holding a reputed brand company's cell phone?

Hi Kiki! Do you mean to say that your Nokia and Samsung handsets supports dual SIM cards? or do you use separate SIM cards? (Chinese cell phone are not reliable, presumably).

My cellphone can only carry one sim card, so I am a single sim card user. I had heard of dual sim cards, but I never have a chance to use any of them. Nice to know. I guess that is not popular in the u.s.a yet right? How about other countries? are they using it now?

ive tried that using 2 sims in one cell phone unit. but im not happy with that kind of features. why? it is because it can cause damage on your phone, i mean the life span of your unit it shorter compared to the unit which is not dual sim. and 2nd reason is the signal is not good also, it fluctuates.. so id rather having 3 units of cell phone than using dual sims.

I used to have a cell phone and always had 2 sim cards becaus eI used to talk a lot on the cell phone so I buy another temporary number for spare just in case I went over the minutes for the month so I could use the other one for the rest of the month to make calls. Then I changed my plan so I stopped using two sim cards, just use one with more minutes plan which is a lot more convenient and better!

Right now I have 2 sim cards, one for business and the other for personal. And for that I use 2 cell phones, one for each other, because I found it troublesome if I only use one cell phone for 2 numbers. Actually I've been thinking to buy a dual sim card phone, therefore it'll be easier to carry only one cell phone instead of two, but I haven't found one that interest me. I also don't understand people who has more than than 3 sim cards. I think 3 numbers is the limit, one for work and one for personal, and another one for even more personal :p So if any of you has more than 3, I'd like to hear your reason for that. :)

My cell phone supports only 1 SIM card, so I have just 1. I actually bought a new cell phone only 2 months ago. I was thinking about going in for a dual SIM card phone. But then apart from the normal features that are now available in most cell phones, I wanted one that was primarily a music phone. So I saw this LG piece which supports 32gb external memory.I was blown away! Wow! LOL.I went with that cell phone and ditched the idea of a dual card phone.lol Happy myLotting

I can only afford one. One sim card. One service provider. One cell phone. One bill payment. I used to have 2 sim cards and carrying 2 cell phones. I found it so troublesome and bulky to carry 2 cell phones.

Yes!! Its indeed troublesome. In that case you can carry a handset supporting dual Sim cards. You can use two SIMS simultaneously. It is much cheaper than two hand sets. What do you think??? Thanks for the post, anyways.

I think about the need to have two sim cards in one mobile phone. I buying new mobile phone about one month ago, I felt more easy and simple because we carry only one mobile phone. One specail number for the family and the number one again for the sake of work and my friends. I feel comfortable adn feel more useful and I am not subject to routine and enjoy more, thank for your sharing, keep wraiting more....

Hi tuyakiki i am not using dual simcard, because i think it will drain our batteries. And it is not good for our cellphone condition.. But, i think this is okay for original cellphones with dual simcard feature, because the factory have make better function to save energy in double transmitter cause by 2 simcard added to

I also didn't know that there is such a thing as dual SIM card phones. My phone only holds one card. I know there is an option on my phone for line 1 & line 2, so I think I can have 2 lines on my phone? I'm not sure since I don't use or need this feature. But it would have been nice to have 2 numbers when I had to use my phone a lot for business for a job that I use to have. But only if I could shut off the number that was for the business & keep on my personal number so I could still talk to family & friends.
