...that is the question. So Matthew is suing his parents for the right to have surgery. I must admit this is quite the dilemma. At first I though Bo & Nora were being way over protective and that they dismissed the option of surgery without really looking in to it. Now they've covered that issue with Nora voicing her concern that Matthew had seizures as a baby and that other patients with similar health issues have died during the operation he needs. My 16 yr old son was watching the show with me and asked me as a parent what I would do. I honestly couldn't give him an answer. I think if this is played out right it has the potential to be a very good and serious storyline. Any thoughts?
P.S.
Poor Destiny is gonna get ripped a new one from Nora today for putting Matthew up to the law suit. Gotta admire her honesty and boldness though for admitting it was her not Tea. Man, I would not want to get on Nora's raw side, she's a real b*tch when she's angry.

The problems are that Mathew does not understand the risks and does not see that the doctor is one of those doctors with a god complex who is smug and arrogant and thinks that he is always right. Bo and Nora are rightfully afraid for Mathew's life especially when dealing with a doctor of that sort and after looking at the statistics.

I totally agree but I think Matthew just refuses to look at the down side here. He's being a stubborn kid, he wants what he wants.

Yeah it seems like there is a serious lack of communication between Matthew and his parents. I know what you mean about things always turning out good for them but if you look back there are plenty of main characters that have gotten offed over time; Ben Davidson & Jenn Rappaport for example.

I think Bo and Nora need to listen to Matthew's opinion on the surgery and the risks. On the other hand, Matthew needs to shut up and listen too. Parents are parents for a reason. They have more experience and better judgment. Maybe they could research it together and get Matt involved so that he can see what their concerns are. He should go visit a failure case of the surgery and see how well off he is now just being in the chair.
Destiny was just trying to be a good friend to Matthew. Nora should respect her for trying to help her friend no matter what. Doesn't she remember stopping a wedding for similar reasons? She couldn't let Bo make such a decision on a lie. He hated her for it for a while and then understood.

Nora actually did respect Destiny for it, I was totally shocked that she was that cool about it but I'm glad she was.
