why do I feel less tired when I sleep less?

I usually go to bed around 12 or 12:30 and wake up at 6:00AM. I usually feel ok the whole next day. Last night, I went to bed around 11:00 and I feel soooo tired today. I am at work feeling like I am about to pass out. Maybe I wake up more when I go to be earlier so I don't get a "restful sleep". What do you think?

I think it is because you are used to sleeping at the same time every night and your body system is already adjusted to the number of sleeping hours. So when you sleep more your body needs readjustment thus making you more sleepy even with longer hours of sleep. I am so used to sleeping in the wee hours of the morning as I am running a pub and sleeping early will make me lethargic the next day.

I may some insight on this subject. Recently I went to the doctor about not sleeping well. He politly informed me that not all people are required to have 8 hours of sleep. A person only needs 5-6 hours of sleep. You always hear about you must have 8 hours of sleep to be healthy. That is no way true. Your body may be at a stage that it only needs that 6 hours and be fully energized. Your body at a later date may decide that you need that extra sleep. Right now I would just accept the fact that you can be fully energized with the amount of sleep that you are use to. I hope that I helped with this tid bit of information.

yes of course correct . if you go early to bed means not feeling tired in the morning . i m have experience in this . One day i went to bede by 3am and then next day morning difficult to wake up and miss my cycle test exam . So if you early to sleep means not getting tirede in the morning

someone once told me to sleep in multiple of 3hrs(3,6,9hr and so on) so as to feel more refresh the next day. But i don't really believe it anyway. cause its not really scientific. I am also not sure why, i always sleep more then 8 hours and still feel sleepy. haha can't help.
