Hi All,
western oriented lifestyle is actually recipe for unhappiness.
First of all their wants are never ending. First a flashy bike is not enough, u have to get a car. Beyond that a better car, luxury car, it goes on. Same goes with clothes, housing etc.
The western oriented food is also terrible. Too much meat and dairy, useless vegetable oils, refined salt etc.
The Latin American nations don't follow the western lifestyles so naturally they will be happy and remain happy.

A person might have a perception about an area of the world or a particular country. If so they need to go there and see the area or country. I live in a Western country. I have traveled to more than 50 different countries. The USA was very different to how I imagined. I liked it there a lot. I loved it even more in Australia and the people there know they live in the lucky country. I know poor people in developing countries are happier than many people in my home country. I live in a small house and I am happy with my life. I don't have a luxury car. I eat a vegan diet and I love animals.

Have you ever even been to the U.S.? What do you know of "western lifestyle" What you are talking about is so generalized. "western" lifestyle encumpases many things, a large variety of things. Before you begin critisizing it, why don;t you move here and actually experience the REAl western lifestyle. You cannot possibly begin to understand what western lifestyle even is from your isolated corner of the planet.
Also, I notice a good bit of "western lifestyle" in your avitar......just sayin.

Sorry, but i don't think you're right. I live in the so called western society and I'm very happy. I don't have a flashy car or a flashy bike. I have a sensible car. Not every person who lives here has to have the fastest car, the best cell phone or the biggest house. There are plenty of us that live well below our means and save every penny we get.
As for your comments on food, not all of us pig out at McDonald's every chance we get and weigh 500 lbs. Yes, I enjoy a good juicy cheeseburger as well as the next one, but I am a very small woman. I am not fat and neither is my husband and neither is our child.
You need to get your facts straight.
