An Important Feature Mylot Doesn't Have!

As I go through the days reading and replying to answers, as a careless man myself, I tend to make a lot of spelling and grammatical errors, and sometimes leave out some important info. My question here today might have been answered before, but I want to get an explanation to the reasoning of why this feature does not exist? It is standard in all forums and in Yahoo Answers too. My question here today is why we don't have an edit button? I mean we should be able to add more information to our original post, correct? I think it makes sense as you can update your report on an issue, or fix a misunderstanding when you wrote your discussion. It also can really help get your replies more accurately answering your questions. I don't know if having an edit button, you would have to change your algorithm too, as any day, we could change the amount of our post, thus resulting in an increasing of earnings? What is your take on this feature and if it will be implemented in the future?

The problem with having an edit is that if you were to edit your post, the readers that have all ready responded to your material probably would not go back and read it again, making your editing efforts useless in some regards. I think correcting your posts along the way in mutiple messages if necessary actually will give the poster more of a chance to show more sides of the discussion/argument and have much better activity with those various angels.

I see you are a man of taste...as you care how you appear to the world, even though we don't see your face, name or voice. I like that in people...I can't stand those that can't spell simple words, but more often I accept that. If you make grammatical errors there's nothing that can help you with that...but spelling is a different story. I have Firefox and LOVE it. Such as, right now if I were to spell this wark wrong, it would have a red squiggly line to indicate I spelled "word" wrong. Heh. But, for those that don't have Firefox or some type of spell checker, I agree...Mylot should have something to where we can edit or delete things as we want to. Pretty unfair, eh? *Pleiades

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. I too have firefox as it is the best browser in the world and it does have the spell check feature. However, while it helps me find 90% of my errors, when I go back and read it sometimes I forgot to add a 'd' here an 'a' here which, it doesn't detect as an error because it produces another word. I guess having no edit button will help with the algorithm a lot, and I guess the best way to fix a major error is to respond to your discussion!

It would be nice to have an edit button. I agree. Right now, you'll have to forgive me as I am currently trying to get to 500 posts! Apparently, it will allow the use of the copy and paste function on these posts! good luck!

I don't know that the earnings should change after the original post, but it would be nice to be able to edit and fix misunderstandings. I feel like if the earnings increase if you edit a post, it opens up a door to all kinds of cheating.
