Massachusetts USA - Massachusetts is a state in the New England region of the northeastern United States. It is bordered by Rhode Island and Connecticut to the south, New York to the west, and Vermont and New Hampshire to the north; at its east lies the Atlantic Ocean. Most of its population of 6.4 million lives in the Boston metropolitan area. The eastern half of the state is made up of urban, suburban, and rural areas, while Western Massachusetts is mostly rural. Massachusetts is the most populous of the six New England states. It ranks third among U.S. states in GDP per capita.
I would choose to stay in the USA in my current state of Massachusetts. I would however prefer to live in a cabin, in the woods, and very close to the ocean. I would love to be self sufficient and not dependent on society with the exception of course for friendships. I have wanted this most of my life as I prefer nature and solitude. It seems vital to my existence. For now I sit in the park surrounded by nature. I go to the ocean when I so desire as it is only 20 miles away..lol In my state I have most everything a person could want as far as lakes, ocean, islands, forests, plains and mountains. We have many beautiful areas. Brightest blessings, Mari

Wow great answer. Living in a cabin in the woods would be cool, living so close to nature & it would be very peaceful & quiet. Good for you :o)

I have visited a few places I wish I could call home. I visited Kerikeri in Northland, New Zealand. It has historic architecture and there are lovely beaches nearby. The local people are really friendly. It is a small country full of spectacular scenery. If I had lots of money I would choose to live in Palm Beach, suburb of Sydney. It has a lovely looking lighthouse on a hill, two beaches one of which is ocean backing and the other one is backing a quiet inlet. It is a pleasant journey to my favorite city of the world, Sydney. I could visit Circular Quay to see the opera house and the harbor bridge. If I could buy a piece of land and move to the tropics I would live in Belize. I would have built a home with a sea view. Then I could spend my days on the palm fringed beaches. I think I could teach in New Zealand or Australia but I wonder if I would work if I lived in Belize. I guess so because I did meet some American ex-pats there.

I spent my whole 32 years of my life in Mississippi and it is totally a disaster. People act suspicious where I live, and there is too much criticism in the society. I feel very insecure about living in this state because it has no values in finding good jobs and too much unemployment, crime, discrimination, and poverty. I have been unemployed for two years and there is no luck in finding a job that has my college skills. It is always retail and covenient stores where burglary mainly occurs. I wish to live in Texas or Colorado, and I also wish to live in the United Kingdom or Norway, but I just do not see the future of it. I rarely have a place to live because I am financially penniless. I just wish someday I could leave Mississippi for good and move to the western side of the United States, because I feel that I had left my personality there.

Hello, I love the area where I live. I live in the Seattle Washington/Puget Sound area. I heard about New Zeland and it is supposed to have the perfect weather?. Here where I live we have all four seasons. I don't like snow because we don't get too much snow in Seattle and these people have no idea how to drive in the snow.I grew up in Idaho and we had alot of snow and we all had to drive in the snow. We never got out of school because it snowed but in the Seattle area they close schools down when it snows even a little bit.We only had an early release day once because of Mount St Helens blew and we only had 2 hours free from school. I am glad to be away from Idaho, nice place but the resident(s) are the reason I moved

lol Im not sure if we have the perfect weather. Mind you where I live in New Zealand in the sunny Hawkesbay we get alot of sunshine, but when it rains it pours at times..lol As for snow! Im lucky cause we never get it where I live. But you can see it up on the hill tops & you can certainly feel the cold at times when ever it snows in the other towns. Thanks for your comments. :o)

I have lived 44 years of my life in New York, and I moved to New Mexico in 2007 and I'm now wishing to move to Puerto Rico by next year. First reason is my boyfriend lives there and second its just so beautiful there. The beaches the scenery are breath taking. Plus I will be able to have a garden to grow my vegtables and plant rose bushes. Something I can't seem to do here in NM.

Its sounds beautiful in Puerto Rico. I love having a garden of fresh vegs, I only started growing one last year & love it. Just walk outside pick your vegs wash them cut them & in the pot they go! yum :o)Plus its so much cheaper to grow rather then buy your vegs. I hope your wish to move to Puerto Rico comes true for you real soon. :o)

Hi shazz. Great question :-) As you know im a New Zealander too however if I could choose one place to live it would be in a small town in the south of France. I love my home and New Zealand but as im passionate about travelling it is far too isolated. Plane flights to the northern hemisphere take hours and costs at least $2000 for a return ticket. Living in France I could easily travel, even in the weekend to Italy, Switzerland, Spain ect.. I also love the French culture and am currently taking French lessons. As an avid shopper im sure I'd enjoy the French fashion. I've tasted French food in New Caledonia and it is divine, seriously a New Zealand baguette or croissant doesn't taste anything like the French versions. Also getting paid in Euros would be a bonus and if I returned back to New Zealand the exchange rate would mean I would get more for my money. I also love the French accent and language and being surrounded by it would be lovely. I find the French people are also very friendly quite different to many sterotypes I have heard about them. Im actually considering working in France for 6 months teaching English and improving on my French.
