when I feel down... i eat, eat, eat!!!! that's why I try to avoid getting depressed. else, i would end up really fat!

have you try eat something health? like carrots, celery or dried fruits or you everything what its not healthy but delicious?

Hi Darbas...when sad, I find doing something outdoors can be a lift to the spirits or getting involved in an upbeat book or movie. Writing about it in my journal also helps, as does writing down the many things in life I am grateful for. When lonely, I contact a friend for a heart-to-heart chat or go out to visit family or friends. Sometimes, I invite someone over or go somewhere to enjoy watching people.

Yes, some people prefer to be alone when sad. If they can find ways to lift up out of the sadness, then good. If not, they might want to make the effort to interact with people, even if they don't feel like it. Sometimes, once they do that, they are glad that they did.

good that you like activities :) i know many people whose if they feel sad they do not want to see any people or even to talk.. what do think how to help them?

I don't know. Certainly I won't get myself drunk or do something stupid. I might just drive around town, feel the fresh air, or watch DVD at home. Better yet, get myself sleep for a couple of hours. After that, I felt refresh again. I would do things better this way.

yeah.. i understand that sometimes the best way looks to get drunk but are you really feel better after that?

when I feel sad and lonely, I often eat a lot...I buy all the food that i love to eat. Or if that is not effective, I go to sleep. Then, when I wake up, the sad feeling is gone.

i take baths when i feel sad and lonely. i say this because when i'm in the bath when your just laying down to think and soak you start to think about your life and all i can think about is the bad things. and makes me think hey life sucks i'm so lonely i hope things get better. if not that i usually feel the most loneliest in school. i just want to be a loner sometimes and some peope just won't let me be. because i don't feel any connection with anyone in my school their all the same except for about 8 of my friends. they are pretty nice. but besides that i hate high school.

yes, it is true.. it is very good way to take a rest. At high school sometimes very hard, but when will be it done you will miss it :) (or maybe not).
