I don't like reality shows

The only 'reality' shows I'll ever watch are the travel programs and they're really great because here in NZ our television presenters are sent on journeys overseas with a film crew and show you what life is really like amongst the people - eg. one guy went to Tibet and we were shown the base camps at Everest, the home and surroundings he stayed in, a hut that had tea-towels that covered the walls and they even showed us the lavatory region! If you ever get the chance - watch 'Intrepid Journeys' - they are truly amazing.

I hate them with a vengance!! I think they are the worst form of tacky voyeurism ...usually a bunch of nobodies doing nothing except being exploited for their desperation to get their 15minutes of fame whilst the TV companies and presenters make money out of their humiliation and call it entertainment. Watching people sleep to a background noise of twittering birds doesn't do it for me. If I wanted that level of stimulation, I'd get those half used tins of paint out of my garage and watch them dry! Reality TV has totally devalued the term 'celebrity' IMHO. So, ummm, I think I agree with you

I had to reply to this one seeing as we nearly have the same username lol...(I've got a blue hibiscus in the garden..!) Reality shows - I like some of them like X Factor and Britain's Got Talent, and The Apprentice - I get quite hooked on those if I'e watched from the beginning...I used to watch I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, but I got fed up with it...Can't stand Big Brother at any price...!

It depends on the show.. I dont like or hate all the shows. I like realty shows which brings out talent of participants..

i do mam.... reality shows infact are not real at all...since u are some what exposed to indian media, u might be knowing how rubbish are d reality shows here...i donno abt western shows.. but here dey bring in young kids to compete n when some one gets eleiminated,they focus on him leving the stage crying al along...dey do repeat it again n again...impact is that kids watching the show are into an impression dat they should cry when they hav lost something.... this degrades a person's morale n guts to face failures..

for me reality shows give some perfect idea on how to face the reality. It show there what is the real goin on to our society...Many people like realiy show i guess...But some tv show are also considered as reality as the writer express thier feeling and what they have observed from the surroundings.

The first reality show I ever watched was Survivor. After watching a few episodes, I realized that it was teaching people to be sneaky, conniving, and underhanded. I remember thinking that this is NOT what society needs. I have not seen another episode since the first season. I have to admit that there are two reality shows that I really do enjoy, tho. Project Runway and Top Chef. I think it is because it is supposed to be based on the actual talents of the person instead of the sneaky underhandedness of the game. Biggest Loser is another one that catches my eye although there are some shows where the people get downright nasty. I do not enjoy watching the nastiness but I do enjoy the competition .... to watch ..... safely .... from the sidelines.

I personally hate them. It is nothing but a bunch of people making themselves look really bad. I have a really hard time getting into them and I think there are far too many on tv.

depends on which reallity show........ i love the shows called 'for love or money'..... the rest, uhm, not really.

I personally dislike them aswell, I would just watch girls of the playboy mansion for a good laugh. As for the new Kendra show-that is RIDICULOUS !! SOme-one please STOP thats show,the girl is making a fool out of HERSELF,poor Hank(her husband).Waht about the "HILLS" ,im sorry but that too is a waste of My TIME! Candy gals, DOnt like them,thing the show had No direction. But the One show ,I must admit -that the ONE show that I have mistakenly fallen for is "keep up with teh KARDASHIANS" .at first I was like "FREAKS".But Iv gotten used to them ,there entertaining,Kim is GORGEUOUS ( im not even going to lie) Khloe has a MAJOR self-esteem problem and Kourtney -should just quit while shes ahead....
